Brother SE425 Computerized Sewing and Embroidery Machine with LCD Screen

I have only had this machine a couple of weeks but so far it has definitely surpassed my expectations. It will not let u do short cuts and is very much computerized!!! The only problem so far was the sensitivity of winding the bobbin. Other than that. It's been great

This machine is great, easy to use and set up. I love that there are no attachments to do decorative stitching and only a pressor foot change to do buttonholes, just select your stitch or buttonhole and sew. This is my first Brother machine and I'm lovin it. I have some problems with my hands and did find it a little difficult to change the needle, only because of my problem. Everything else has been very easy to use. I have had it for 12 days and have finished one project and almost finished the other one, it sews through thick fabric very easily. As I said I'm Lovin it.

I love this sewing machine! It sews so smooth and straight and the embroidery is great and so much fun! Would buy again and I highly recommend. Super easy to send fonts to machine from computer but I did purchase software (Letter It and Monogram It). Great value for the price and Walmart pickup was a plus.

This is a very easy to use machine...very good directions in the manual. I will be sewing more now than ever before.

This is a great machine. I have only used it for sewing, so far. It is easy to use and set up. I am very pleased with this purchase. I did check around and found Walmart to have the best price. Shipping was free and fast.

The machine is a bit daunting to look at when you first open the box but it's really easy to set up and within a half hour I was doing my first embroidery. It runs quietly and needs very few adjustments to sew on just about all types of material. I've done heavy terry towels and thin cotton flour sack towels with no problems. It is fussy about the bobbins so be sure to use the recommended bobbin. I've used both cotton and polyster thread with no breakage issues.. Good machine for the price. You can get hundreds of free designs from the internet too!!

Just bought this machine for my mom and I. She has used it and loves it. Runs so smooth and sews beautiful. Love the computer on the machine. So easy to pick what stitch you would like to make. Haven't use the embroidery yet but sure we will love it. Don't hesitate to buy. You won't be sorry!

The Brother SE425 was purchased for the embroidery module, specifically the monogram functions. It is working well for me and the only problem I had with a thread break was due to operator error. This machine has the best needle threader I have ever used, and I wish my two other more expensive sewing machines had it! I am also happy with Walmart online customer service. The first sewing machine I received made a whirring sound but the bobbin would not wind and the needle didn't move. I called customer service and they had a new machine shipped the same day.

I am retired and was looking for something to interest me. The SE425 caught my interest. Within 2 hours after setting up my new system I had the unit running, had tested several stitches and embroidered several items including alpha characters. All function were easily understood and follow. I am a person that only understood basic sewing uses. Great first system.

When I first got this machine I loved it, but at about day 28 the tension started acting up, after working with it I finally got it to working right and after about two projects it went out again, all I was doing was embroidering with the bobbin thread. On the 14th of March I wrote Brother asking for help, on the 16th I called them but was on hold for 30 min and had to hang up, then I wrote them again, they say they will reply around 24 hours but this is the 18th and I still have had no response on email or on their website! After 37 days I returned the machine to Walmart who was great considering it was over the 30 day refund limit. They gave me a full refund! so, the machine stinks, Brother support stinks and Walmart customer service is great!
