Brother Sewing 1634DX 3/4 Thread Serger with Differential Feed

I was excited to see this serger on sale on the Walmart Website for $60 less than the one that didn't come in a JoAnn's box. Luckily, I had just seen a blog stating that the JoAnn's branded one was identically to the one I had been planning to buy. Works great - I forgot how nice it is to have the tension correct on all of the dials!! and the rolled hem worked great!! Once you get used to the threading (if you've had another brand serger, like I did), it's very intuitive, and I didn't even have to use my handy dandy needle threader!!

I have never been a good sewer but this machine is so easy use and really has made me look like a pro. I love how fast I am able to sew something with it being able to sew up to 1300 stitches per minute. I like how bright the Led light is which allows to me to see exactly what I am working on. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for an easy to use and fast sewing machine as you will not be disappointed but this one form a well known and trusted brand.

It was difficult to determine the differences between the many models of Brothers' sergers: 3034, 1034, 1634. I purchased the least expensive. The surprise was that I had to oil it before using it. It was easy to thread. So far, it has met my expectations.

I am an hobby sewer and I have been making both dog bandanas as well as trying some new projects with combined fabrics. I like that I can go from one project to the next with this machine and do not have any bunching issues. I would recommend this machine to others.

This is the best serger I've had. Threading the machine is very easy as well as it works great without the threads breaking.

It comes prethreaded. What a wonderful surprise! I dread though when I have to thread it myself.
