The machine works well and the only issues I have had were from this being my first time experience with any sewing machine. So if you take it slow and accept the learing curve as part of the process your going to have a good time. I would definitely purchase it again.
I love it!! It's compact and easy to use. I have two other machines that use Artspira so there was a little learning curve. The arm in the machine is perfect for small projects and I got the bigger magnetic loop so I am not limited to 4x4 projects only. I highly recommend the Skitch. It's a fun beginner embroidery machine with lots of potential for personal home use. A
i have been wanting Skitch for awhile now. i decided it was time! i love all the features and it is so easy to set up. it takes up minimal space. it's Bluetooth feature is the best.
The font are too small and if you enlarge them it will not fit the 4x4 by length. You don't ha an increase height option. Other than that work really nice with images
This embroidery machines works really good the only con is that if you want to do your own personal design you have to pay a 12.99 monthly subscription but other than that there is no problem with the machine
Let me start off by saying….if you have zero experience with machine embroidery this is NOT the machine for you. Now my review. I wanted so much for this machine to work out as it looked like the perfect budget machine for anything with 2 sides. The traditional flat bed machines take some finesse to embroider on anything that is not a flat single layer item. The first week this seemed like it would be perfect but after a couple projects the auto threader locked up tight (lever wouldn't move). Since my sight isn't what it used to be and I often change colors this was a no-go for me. On my other machine I can mostly fix problems like this but since this was still in warranty and Brother said send it back, I did. Pros: as above able to do small items like Christmas stockings. Fairly easy to use once you learn to thread it Magnetic hoop….a necessity for anything bulky Cons: not for beginners at all, there are many more variables to consider with this machine over the less expensive 4x4 flat bed machines Could have been a 5x7 for only a little more $ and been much more useful Spool pin idea lacks severely, virtually no tension between it and a long distance to first tension area made it more prone to wrapping up on spool pin Artspira. Is junk and Brother's attempt to rope those that don't know better into purchasing a monthly subscription. You can use the machine without it, at least for now. It also leads those that don't know better that they can simply take a picture of something and produce a lovely outcome… anyone that has been embroidering awhile knows that auto digitizing rarely produces as good of a result as a professionally digitized design Product support….if you want to do anything beyond what's in the book, forget about it…took 30 minutes to chat in to an embroidery support person and they appeared to know less than I I have big hopes for this machine idea and I guess I should give grace as this is the first year for this concept. If they come out with an updated version I will probably try again. Besides, I bought the 3x3 mag hoop for it and would love to use it
Received a defective unit. The hand wheel does not move freely after 2 embroideries. The machine keeps popping operation fail warning messages in the app. The only way to fix it is to go to brother service center/dealer. The embroidery designs are not bad at all in the app. In the meantime, the digitizer function is very bad. Compare to Hatch or other professional digitizer software, the digitizer function within the app is a joke.
Ordered twice and they sent a cheap sewing machine instead of the actual Skitch. Disappointing. Customer service even said it was delayed due to quality control making sure the right item was sent.
I wanted to really love this machine. However, I had nothing but problems with it. The app is terrible as well. Would not recommend.
I didn't like this machine because you can only you have one machine connected to Bluetooth at the time of use in this machine
