Brother SP1 Sublimation Printer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves making personalized T-shirts, and the Brother SP-1 sublimation printer has been a great fit! It comes with 4 ink cartridges and sublimation paper so you can dive in right away. The quick start sheet is genuinely easy to follow. Once you downloaded the app and connect to the printer you can create a project and send to the printer wirelessly, which is super convenient. Even though it has a top cover it doesn't have scanning. So everything is done through your computer or the app. You can use it for way more than shirts too, tote bags, mugs and even certain tiles. Just remember, you will still need a heat press to finish your project, and those come in different price ranges. It's a fun and beginner friendly printer to do some personalization DIY projects.

The setup was pretty straightforward, and I love being able to take an idea and turn it into something I can actually use or gift. The prints come out nicely, and the compact size is convenient since it doesn't take up a ton of space in my workspace. I can already see myself using it for shirts, mugs, and personalized gifts. It's a really good option for getting started with sublimation and having more creative freedom with my projects.

As mother of three beautiful daughters who are loves to create something beautiful and colorful, this printer makes us happy every time we print something special on shirts, cups, mugs and tote bags with their names. This printer is not really heavy and not very high so it easily fits on my bookshelf. I was worried that it would be difficult to setup the printer and everytime I need to open my laptop to print, but I was amazed and surprise that it was super easy to setup and connect with my phone using their Artspira app and even I can customize it. There are so many designs and ways to make beautiful designs for shirts and many more things. It comes with fours basic color cartridges and sublimation papers. The guidelines were simple and easy, so it is really user friendly. The colors were very vibrant and same on vibrant color was on over my daughters shirt and cap. I use small heat press machine but soon will purchase big one. There are two modes quality and fast printing. Overall, I am impressed with quality, easy setup options, vibrant colors and not very heavy to my pocket. I recommend this sublimation printer and will soon start my small business using this printer.

The brother sublimation SP-1 printer is outstanding! I highly recommended it for sublimation artwork. It does 8 1/2 x 11 (full page of paper) and also can go up or down fro there! Amazing- I really love this printer it makes artwork pop. I'm so impressed with the color quality. And the most spectacular thing is that you don't have to shake the ink. It automatically will print once a week a small test to make sure that all the ink doesn't get clogged!!! Can't tell you how much fun and easy this printer is to use!!! Well worth the money!!!

This a the best affordable sublimation printer. I did have a paper jam almost 2 yrs of having the machine one time and I called brother it was swap and I am better than ever. Love this machine its printout is beautiful and once its place on the product to be sublimated it is forever beautiful. Thank you Brother.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my new Brother Sublimation Printer. This machine is so much easier to use than I ever would have thought it would be. It came with all the essentials, paper, ink, very clear instructions and useful information for heat transfer to various types of blanks. I would recommend this to anyone that is not sure of whether they can learn to use it or not. I would definitely buy this again.

I have been in IT for over 30 years and have always used Brother printers. My wife wanted to get into sublimation printing for her business. In doing a deep dive some specific printers were available for a rather high price and many use ink jet tank printers with available sublimation ink. I always go to support forums to research products as opposed to consumer ratings. I saw several posts on how the ink jet printers if not used consistently clogged. Our use case would be occasional use. I found the SP-1 and ordered it based on it's self maintenance feature. We could not be more pleased. The cartridges last a long time and the colors are fantastic! The printer does auto feed 8.5 x 11 and single sheet feed of 8.5 x 14. I must admit that the occasional use has not been tested as we use this printer daily! If the page size fits your need I would not hesitate buying this printer!

This is a print friendly machine, I am a big fan of Brother, so this was an item I could not wait to own. It was designed to work through the Artspira app. which is very user friendly. I did do a print out, and compared it with an item done on one of the more expensive sublimation printers. I am impressed with Brother. Plus the savings on just buying the ink alone, gets a big yes. I would recommend this product, for anyone starting sublimation, and is a fan of Brother. Thank You Brother you did it again I also enjoy my Print Moda, and my new Skitch

I'm in love with the brother sublimation printer 1 because you do not have to turn it into a sublimation printer because that's what it is. 2 the ink last I've done alot of printing and still have a lot of ink. 3 the colors are vibrant when I transfer them over to a sublimation blank . And it's fast to print .

This is definitely a beginner product. There are no color profiles to work with if you're designing in Adobe Creative Suite. You can only use Brother sublimation paper if you want to get any kind of ink density. It's cheaper than other types of sublimation printers and probably okay if you're not too picky about how rich colors print.
