Brother XR3340 Computerized Sewing and Quilting Machine

bought this machine for one feature....needle down and found it had so many other wonderful features. i was sewing on my mother's old viking and it was on its last leg (50 some years old). my friend saw this advertised at a membership store. i looked at the features and the price and bought one too. i am working on a quilt and love the way it sews.

I love it. Simple to use yet it has many functions for a well rounded machine. I even used it to do simple quilting on a queen size quilt.

Bought this machine to replace my 25 year old sewing machine. Wow, the new technology is amazing, I love the features this machine has, so easy to thread bobbin and needle, sews great!

Has everything I need for basic home sewing and a little bit more.

I bought this machine as the weight is low and I can easily bring it to our quilting group. However, I expected that a "Quilting" Machine would automatically include a walking foot, sadly it did not and I had to purchase one separately.

I bought this machine a week ago after purchasing and returning a different Brother model. The only problem I am finding is that it loves to grab the thread from my fingers nearly every start so I need to rethread. Could it be operator error? Am loving the automatic threader though.

This was my first computerized sewing machine. Loved it for the first uses. Then the machine were bad. Couldnt adjust the tension. The knob moved, but nothing would change. Took it to an authorized repair shop and was told. Sorry, you cant fix this problem. its a bad machine. Returned to the store that day

The best sewing machine I own. The XR3140 makes any project, repair, alteration a breeze. I definitely got my money's worth and I recommend it to everyone who is looking to buy a good sewing machine.
