High Quality
Beautiful, very, very well made receptacle. Do not go to the big box store and buy the Leviton it's complete junk. Buy Bryant or Hubbell 30-60$ per plug but it pays for itself. Ten times safer and will last a lifetime. Installation was a super breeze using Romex 6/3 on 50 amp 2 pole breaker for level 2 car charger. Do not make the same mistake I did and purchase the Leviton and the Leviton faceplate. The faceplate WILL NOT FIT. It's 2.15 inches where the Bryant faceplate is 2.48 inches, the receptacle itself it's a tad smaller giving a little wiggle room. The product number is SS701 for the correct faceplate. When dealing with 240/250amp, spend the money on the right parts. I put these on a 50 amp GFCI circuit with 6/3 romex and all Hubbell/Bryant parts. I tired installing the Leviton and it was CHEAP and it felt unsafe, as if it would break in the near future. DONT CHEAP OUT IN ELECTRICAL!!!!
great quality but you might want to order a box, as they are difficult to get in a store.
Still pricier than Grangier but it's very well built Nema 14-50 receptacle. Bryant electric is a sister company of Hubbell and they are both owned by GE Current. It is about 66mm in thickness (thickest one I ever seen) so if you are using 4 inch metal box, make sure you route from the bottom of the plate to avoid bending the wires; it makes difficult to fit in the box when wires are bent. The quality wise, it can't go wrong with Made in USA.
