Great pitching machine, very accurate, awesome for pitching, infield drills and out field drills. My 7 year old loves it!
Have been using if for Little League sotball and baseball players. Has been great for both the boys and girls. Was able to store in a large rubbermaid and carry to and from the battinf cage. We bought a small rachet set to make the adjustments from baseball to softball. Very easy to do. Would highly recommend especially for the little league level and for this price.
I bought this along with a dozen of the dimple balls for my granddaughters softball practice. They love it , speed adjustable for whatever age group. These girls are 8-10 years old.
Have used pitching machines from several makers (already own one) but very impressed with the Bulldog. Fairly lightweight, easy to transport, with consistent pitches. Use with dimpled machine balls to preserve the wheel's rubber. Easy to adjust height and speed settings. For this price, I highly recommend.
I originally bought this product over a year ago, but I was in the process of moving, so I never got a chance to use the machine until just recently after settling into the new house. During my first session of using it, about a half hour into it, the machine died. I called the manufacturer. Since it had been over a year, I didn't think there would be a warranty on it, so I was merely looking for a service location. The manufacturer customer service went beyond my expectations and was very accommodating, and they replaced my product with no questions asked. I have been using the new machine almost every day for the past month now, and I have not had any problems. The machine performs exactly as advertised. This product is the best value you can find for pitching to little leaguers. For the price, I can't imagine there being a better product for the designed purpose. Obviously, a machine that costs a couple grand will be able to throw faster pitches and curveballs, but unless you have a legitimate MLB prospect in your household, this is all the machine you need for batting practice.
I would recommend this to anybody at the little league level. It was very reasonably priced, arrived to my house in 2 days, easy to assemble (just legs) and looks cool too. I use it for our teams batting practice, grounders infield practice, pop fly practice for all and finally as a work-out for the catchers and line drives to the infield. I went to the local sporting goods store & purchased 48 dimpled balls which you would find at any batting cage and have never had any issue. LOVE IT !!!!!
This pitching machine delivers!! We have had ours about 2 months now and it has performed above our expectations. We purchased this machine about 2 months ago for the batting cage my husband built for our kids. It throws both baseballs and softballs (you will need rubber balls) and will adjust to throw grounders and pop flys. It's runs very quietly. We thought it was a good price and we also bought the 3 yr warranty knowing that it would be outdoors. Our 6 yr old is in Tball and he hits off of this, as well as, my 10 yr old daughter hits softballs. Other machines were $1000 or more...we highly recommend this one! If you are looking for one, go get it from Walmart.com!!
Easy to setup, very basic but very reliable. Also very adjustable speeds between 30 - 70 mph. Great for pitching, fielding, and fly balls. Built to last for many years. I use it with real baseballs with leather skin, the machine leaves a little black wheel residue on the balls after a while. Tends to move the ball around the strike zone based on how you load the balls stitching. Has an electrical adjustment between 1-10 for ball speed, I run the switch at 7.5 for 60 mph. I like to space the pitches out about 5-10 seconds between balls, this gives the motor time to return to norm spin speed. I use this in the cage for batting practice but love to take it to a baseball field (100 foot extension cord or small Honda generator works best) to for both pitching and fielding. Please buy this from Wal-mart.com were it is sold and shipped by Wal-Mart, this gives you a 90 day warranty and free shipping, other sellers only give you 30 days and charge you a boat load to ship it to you. I paid $440 at Wal-Mart, best deal in the USA for such a reliable machine. Only part that could wear out is the pitching wheel, and that cost $250 and is readily available. I've had mine for 3 years now and works like a charm, my kids off to High school this year, if it lasts until he graduates I'll be extremely happy. I tend to pitch 200 balls a night 2-3 times a week during the season and it handles it great.
Have used it only twice and it pitches to home plate real good. I am using it for pop flies and it also works good but I have to put a 6" piece of wood under the front leg to get a good pop fly. If they would have just cut the groove longer you would not have to do this. Other than this issue, you can't beat it for the money!
This pitching machine works great for the price we paid. We use it for our local little league and traveling teams for batting practice. However, the reason we purchased this one is because our other machine needed a new wheel. At first we could not find anyone that sold any replacement parts. The wheel by itself sells for around $240. We needed an additional machine and decided to buy that and use both machines....now to find a place that sells the wheels at a good price.
