Performed as expected. Sound quality is excellent. Will buy another for another car of mine. Wal-Mart Delivered early!
This is a good product. It pairs to my phone very quickly. It cuts off access to the radio antenna when in use so there is no interference on the FM band. Lets me keep my stock radio and that vintage appearance. Rather than splicing the car's wires I suggest making your own wiring harness, the adapters are available at Walmart for about $10.
I expected the sound to be muffled or full of static. That's not the case at all. This setup is loud and clear. I haven't experienced an audio delay when watching videos. Setup was simple. Just ensure you have the proper antenna adapters if needed, tap into a power source, like cigarette lighter, and you're good to go. When you want to listen to regular radio, just disconnect the Bluetooth.
Requires soldering and finding a keyed 12V power source. I tapped off the radio's 12V keyed power source. Also requires routing a couple wires behind the dash - a push button and a mic. I put my push button really low on the dash - so that was a short route. The mic I put on my visor and tucked the wire behind the molding then routed behind the dash. This was much harder cause it has a right angle 1/8" plug on the end that was hard to fish through tight places. The app for my Android download and works fine - instructions are lacking, but then again, all app instructions are horrible. I have this item a 4 out of 5 rating for the volume. The troubleshooting section in the pamphlet says to turn up you phone volume to make the overall sound louder, but I have my phone up all the way and I still have to set my stereo volume to 90% while driving. This is a design flaw that that should of been fixed before going into production. Walmart's price was the cheapest I could find - and it is cool to answer my phone over my car speakers and play music while using google maps. My stereo couldn't be replaced with a double DIN setup, so this was the next best solution.
