My daughters obsession with buckles was becoming a time suck. She wanted to stay in her car seat, high chair and stroller to play with the buckles. I always want to let her fiddle to engage her imagination, problem solving and dexterity. This toy was a good compromise so I don’t have to hang out in the driveway while she plays to her hearts content. Great for long car rides too. Keeps her intrigued and helps her understand perseverance and problem solving. She gets thrilled when she figures it out!
My granddaughter is fascinated with buckles. I thought I would try to find her toy to fit her fascination. I found this with a Google search and bought it. Purchase was no hassle, shipping was fast and the toy is perfect. My daughter (and her cousin) love it!
The toy is great and my son (15 months) enjoys playing with it! Size was perfect for what I was looking for-- a small toy that was easy to throw in a diaper bag for travel. It kept him busy on the airplane, but is also great in the car and at home. I love that he enjoys it, but it is also great for building fine motor skills. I would definitely recommend this product!
I run a licensed day care and have various ages of children. I have one child who is big into buckles and is always buckling the baby swing and anything else that has buckles. I ordered this toy and two others and the kids loved them! Speaking about this toy specifically, one of my 2-1/2 year olds loves it. I liked that it was more of a small pillow and it is the perfect size for travel/diaper bag. She was able to buckle and unbuckle most of the buckles after awhile, though she told me the red one was tricky lol. She managed to unbuckle and buckle and then cheered "I did it!" None of the kids got bored with buckling and unbuckling the toys. I highly recommend!
Amazing toy! My 20 month old lights up when he sees this. He's gotten his skin stuck on regular functioning buckles (high chair, etc), but the buckles on this toy are soft and have not caught his skin. he plays with this for a good 5-10 minutes at a time, several times a day. I hide it in the backpack and pull this out when he's cranky in the car and it is a lifesaver. Such a good buy - I am seriously considering buying another version
This toy immediately became our "can't live without it" toy. Our kids love manipulating objects and playing with buckles, so this guy has proven to be amazingly entertaining! Since it's so small and easily clips onto the diaper bag, not only has this toy kept our kids busy for hours in the car, but also in waiting rooms, restaurants, and any other place that we need a small and quiet activity. We recently took it on a 5,000 mile road trip, and literally kept our kids busy in the car for hours. They never seemed to get sick of it! I can't remember how we survived before our buckle toys!
I got it for my 18 mo old grandson. He loved it - walked around the house following his mom saying "help". I was happy that it challenged him. Colorful and sturdie for a cloth toy.
It's what I expected. It could have a little more stuffing to make it more full). Would prefer if there were other options (velcro , crinkle fabric, snaps, etc) to go along with the buckles.
Quality toy. Item listed as described. very easy to use by my child.
The buckletoy website is great, and the whole purchasing process was really easy. Great quality, cute, fairly compact (would be good as a travel toy) and is Priced very fairly. It's A great toy for the right kid The buckles are way too small for a 18 month old still trying to learn hand/eye coordination and just starting with problem solving. My daughter LOVES buckes, but she's still trying to figure them out. while she can play all day with the big buckles of her high chair and stroller, these are too small for her to line up, and she ends up really frustrated. I'd suggested marketng this to 2 and over, and maybe make a separate toy with big, bulky buckles for the smaller kids. Anyway. It's a good product that i'd recommend to parents with buckle-obsessed kids.
