I know they're not homemade but they are great smothered in 505 green chili and topped with sharp cheddar cheese. Just pop them in my toaster oven (take the wrappers off first) with a side of chopped lettuce and tomato some Spanish rice and in about 45 minutes I have a meal fit for a queen! I also make them smothered in homemade red chili and they are delish.
Been buying bueno red chile pork tamales or years. Gotten smaller over time, wrapped in paper now not corn husks, price is outrageous. Still buy the cuz they taste the closet to homemade, authentic red chile and masa is well seasoned. I microwave, add my homemade red chile sauce n enjoy a great meal.
We really like Bueno products and the tamales are no exception. Very glad to be able to get them from our local Walmart. Good value for money and good to support Bueno !
These tamales tasted fantastic!! Great value as well. I bought 12 less then a week ago and now Im buying 18 more. Hmmmm….maybe I shouldn't rave about them because they might sell out!!! I changed my mind. They were horrid! Wink-wink.
They don't really scratch the tamale itch. And Mexican red pork tamales are my favorite food on this planet. These are not very good. Very little meat, very little sauce, very little overall. Kinda boring. They are not the worst thing, but for this price I expected a little better quality and flavor, I guess.
It was very spicy but not very flavorful. The tamale wraps are not authentic but seem like paper made. Overall, its edible but not something i would like to purchase anymore.
These tamales are garbage. They are wrapped in something other than corn husk. They are dry and have no flavor. Also, they are half the size of a normal tamale. Would not recommend. Chaparros Tamales on the other hand are awesome. Moist and flavorful, right out of the microwave,
NOT BUENO! These may be the worst tamales we have ever tried. We love tamales and are not very picky. The ones in the CAN are better than these. Sure, there are some much better than others. Most just need more MEAT, less masa in our opinions. Never thought I would give a POOR review. Maybe we got a bad batch, but I doubt we will try again. Just a really really bad tamale.
These used to be great! Shredded pork has been replaced with chopped cubes of chewy fat. It's too bad companies choose profit over quality. Will not buy again.
I was so disappointed, I have bought this brand for years and these tamales used to be really good. They no longer use a corn husk wrap, they are almost half the size, the meat is hard and dry and a black color and the flavor is bad. I bought these for years but not anymore.
