The steps are well made and finished. How ever the instructions have an error that can cause problems. The instructions direct drilling 3/8 inch mounting holes 12-1/2 inches apart in the door sill pinch flange. Problem is the the steps are only 8 inches wide. Oops. Measure the steps before you drill!
Installation was made more difficult because the instructions were so poor. There's a big honking sheet metal screw to put in (maybe a #12 or 1/4" size) with a phillips head (should have been a hex head, but yes, you can torque the head off using a hand screwdriver). The instructions say to use a 1/8" pilot hole (hah!). I don't remember exactly what size I used, but it was at least 3/16" or bigger. Not much fun to dick around with drill bits on a right angle drill cutting good quality steel while crawling around under the truck. The stuff looks great and is very stiff when you are all done.
made pretty well for price, but they do not fit as claimed.
I wouldn't buy these because they want you to drill holes in the cab of your truck to mount them. I am returning them.
These are well-made, but they are not universal fit. They will not fit Jeep CJ, YJ, etc.
dis not fit my truck as they said it would.
