I use an indoor hydroponic growing system with lights to grow these and they grow beautifully. They're delicious. I don't know how they would grow outside because I live in a condo and I don't have a deck that has any sun. I have a sensitive stomach to acidic tomatoes (red) yellow ones are lower in acid. I will continue to buy these seeds.
If you’re looking for a tomato that’s easy to grow and have a low acid content, these Burpee Organic Yellow Pear Tomato Seeds are a solid pick. They’re organic, non‑GMO, and the plants produce tons of small, bright yellow tomatoes that look great in salads or as quick snacks straight off the vine. They do well growing in small areas and are a BIG hit with kids, especially those who think they don't like tomatoes ;)
Disclaimer - I haven’t grown these seeds yet. That said, I did grow regular red pear tomatoes this season. It’s why I ordered these seeds. The plant grew AMAZINGLY and has churned out package after package worth of tomatoes. The red are a little more savory than the cherry tomatoes I usually get at WM, but still have a lightly sweet kick with a hint of acid/not too much; I’m excited to try growing these and see what I get next year.
Started seeds on a friday and almost every seed sprouted in a week. They look good and healthy, I'll be sharing with my friends.
This plant produces tons of juicy delicious little guys. Perfect for cutting in salads or just popping in your mouth. Very much looking forward to this years crops.
this is our second season growing these, and we LOVE them! Our kids love to run through the garden and just pop them in their mouth! Looking forward to having the in the garden again.
excited to get these. It's been hard to locate different varieties of tomatoes, and when you see rhem already started, they are mundane varieties. These sprouted in under 7 days
Beautiful tomatoes. Great for snacking. Beautiful yellow color. Planted last year and had wonderful results. Can’t wait for this year. Will be starting them indoors.
