Burt's Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation, Deep Maple, 1.0 Ounce

I LOVE this foundation! I have extremely sensitive skin, so I always struggle finding a foundation that will not react with my skin after everyday use. Also, I know there have been mixed reviews on the smell but I really like it! I think it smells citrusy and it wakes me up in the morning when I apply it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Burt's Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Makeup Foundation is the only foundation that I have found that does not make my skin break out!! It feels so light and natural, and does not end up making my skin produce an excessive amount of oil, or dry it out! I am super impressed with the quality of the make up. The color I had ordered online was 'Ivory' which is a tad bit too light for my current skin tone because in the summer I tan well. I do have a Burt's Bees BB creme that is darker, so I mix a small amount of each and use as my foundation and this has worked extremely well! I also am able to go in and touch up any areas that need to be lightened or darkened with the corresponding foundation or BB creme. This duo has worked very well for me! I will be buying a shade darker of the foundation if I end up needing more before the winter months, otherwise the Ivory would be a perfect match to my skin tone for the winter months! The most impressive thing about this liquid foundation for me is that it doesn't create a problem with my skin as far as acne goes, which gives me the freedom to wear make up when I want to wear it, instead of consistently having to use it just to cover up a problem that most foundations start which is acne and blackheads. I gave this foundation five stars because it has exceeded my expectations, even though I wasn't able to find the exact match to my skin tone on the first try, mixing it with the Burt's Bees BB creme that I had already owned made a great combination, and in addition, it is gentle to my skin, giving me the freedom to wear makeup when I want. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really picky when it comes to foundations I want something that's light and doesn't leave me feeling greasy and doesn't make me look like I'm wearing a mask. so I was really surprised by Burt's Bees product the color is in the caramel family which for other brands is usually really dark but for me wasn't a hundred percent perfect match but a good 85%. the glow is very noticeable and yes throughout the day you can start to look a bit shiny but nothing that blotting or putting a little powder won't fix. to me that was not a deal-breaker but I know for some people with extra oily skin that can be, so if you are super oily skin maybe I wouldn't recommend it but otherwise yeah. it goes on like a moisturizer and it was there all day I could hardly notice besides the evening color of my skin that I was wearing anything. when I looked in the mirror I wasn't seeing blotchy spots or I don't know how to describe it's like you can see dry skin is painted with makeup I wasn't seeing that with with this products so I would totally when the bottles out get another one. Oh yeah one more thing and a lot of people get this but it didn't build up or have that crease Mark around the nose later in the day it didn't build up there so that's a positive

I have tried many foundations in the past, but this is by far my favorite. I have dry, sensitive skin, so other brands either look cakey, do not cover well, doesn't match my skin tone, or severely irritates my skin. Burts Bees does none of that. My face looks so clear, even, and glowy after applying. The smell is a bit weird, but not enough to make me stop using it. This is the only one I will purchase from now on!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You never know what to expect when trying a new liquid foundation. Each one has their flaws of some sort. Not the goodness glows liquid makeup! This product is absolutely amazing. It applies smooth, light and absorbs into the skin incredibly quick. I love this product and will continue to keep it as a staple in my makeup rotation!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleased with this liquid foundation. It had medium to full coverage and that's what I like. I'd recommend blending it with a brush instead of your fingers though, because I used my fingers the first time I used it and it was hard to even out the product. So I would definitely use this again. It was very easy to blend my Contour on it. The only reason I didn't give it five starts is because "Goodness Glows" makes it sound like it would be shimmery and make your skin glow, but I did not get that effect at all.

I recently purchased this foundation and was pleasantly surprised by the coverage and finish. It looks great on dry skin -- there's definitely a glow and it has a good price point. I would wear this foundation every day, but I hesitate to grab for it over my other base products because of the overpowering smell. Did I get a bad batch? I can still smell it when it's been on my skin for a couple hours. It is so strong and it's not pleasant. I looked through the reviews to see if there were other people who mentioned the scent, but there's more positive comments about it than not. I wonder if mine is off? /:

I had very high hopes for this foundation because a) it's Burt's Bee's and b) for a drugstore product this was on the high end price wise. I do like the fact that it's natural and doesn't add anything to it! Thats always a good thing! I am very fair and the shade I got was pretty darn close, which is very rare! I will say: THE SMELL IS HORRIBLE. If you can last long enough to where the makeup sets into your skin a bit so it doesn't smell quite so bad, then you'll be fine. If you're very sensitive to smells, definitley don't use this product. That being said, the rest of the product is great. Medium to full buildable coverage, and it blends out nicely.

PROS: Color selection. Lightweight yet surprisingly good coverage. Great for mature skin. Oily skin did NOT slick this up...by far the best foundation for ULTRA LONG wear without shine. CONS: Goodness sakes...smells like rancid cooking grease going on. After powder set, you no longer smell it, but it is bad when applying, so much so that I thought my brand new bottle was expired. Would be a 5 but for the obnoxious smell.

I was reading these ingredients after buying this and is as shocked to find FRAGRANCE listed towards the end! I have previously enjoyed this brand because it's skincare products are perfect for my sensitive/acne prone skin. Then I tried this foundation and the fact that fragrance is included is a little unsettling to be honest. Fragrance is one thing that triggers my acne and so I'm pretty disappointed in this product.
