You don't have to be a mama to love belly butter

LisaKz September 13, 2025

While I've never been pregnant, I've been using this product for years and it has kept away stretch marks and dry skin

So far so good!

Hhesse May 29, 2024

I'm only in my second trimester but so far no stretch marks, the other reviews I read mentioned it was good and kept them from getting stretch marks so I decided to try it. Goes on really smooth and a little goes a long way. I use it for other parts of my body too! Plus being USA made is always a sale point for me.

33 weeks pregnant - no stretchmarks so far!

laurenvpatrick August 22, 2017

I realize every mama's body is different, but I know I have this belly butter to thank for not having any stretchmarks on my belly 33 weeks into my pregnancy. I put this on my belly in the morning and again before I go to bed. I've purchased two of these belly butter tubs so far, as I've been using this product since my bump began to show. Love!

Used this with the mama bee oil and I didn't get any stretch marks during pregnancy! I swear by this product and douse my entire body in it because it is so amazing and good for me!

Super Moisturizing

Aries89 December 3, 2015

I started using this butter during my 2nd trimester because my husband urged me to keep my belly moisturized so I wouldn't get stretch marks. As far as scent goes, it really does not have one. Depending on how much you slather on, it can soak in faster with a light coating or it can last long periods of time, either way, I always put mine on at night after I shower and I can still feel it the next morning (thickly coated or not). This lotion did not work for me when it came to the "no stretch marks part," as I have developed a few small ones. This could either be contributed to the fact that I didn't always slather it on, or simply genetics (a lot of studies say that if it's in your genetics to get them, then there's no amount of lotion that can help). It has definitely helped tremendously with the itchiness (I am currently 33 weeks and still continue to use this to help with that). Here's to hoping that this lotion might assist in not getting any more stretch marks! Nevertheless, this company is worth recommending just simply due to the fact that they are cruelty free! It's comforting knowing that I can feel beautiful without thinking of animal testing!

Bring Balm Back!!

Heidi007 March 19, 2017

The Belly Butter is NOT the same as the Belly Balm! It smells horrible, the texture is like clotted spoiled milk, and it when you go to rub it in, it gets hard and sticky and won't spread. Why did you all change/discontinue the Balm? Is the butter cheaper to make because it seems I paid more for the butter than the Balm and it doesn't even work half as well. Listen to your customers. We are trying to tell you something. Bring back the Balm!!

Queen Bee

VintageBurtsBeesMomma March 31, 2013

I was around when the old formula made with Cocoa Butter was available. Comparing the two is almost a joke. The new formula doesn't nearly last as long, absorbs and needs reapplication throughout the day. The old formula worked SO well on my tummy with not one, but two babies stretching it, that I am buying the old product from stores in the UK that still sell them prior to being reformulated. I wish I didn't need to spend the additional cash, but when I get pregnant again I want to have a product that is fantastic on my skin. You should offer it as a more concentrated version as an alt option for women needing more stretch mark prevention!

Recent formula change unfortunate

Lisabol November 10, 2016

I bought this product when I first became pregnant and loved it- great consistency and smell. I bought a new jar after using the first one and didn't think much of the "new and improved" on the label until I opened it. The smell is unbearable and the consistency is much thinner, as if more water was added. Very disappointed with the change and will be on the lookout for a new belly butter that isn't so off putting and cheap feeling.
