Burt's Bees Matte Stick Rippling Rose, 1.98 GR

It's the perfect dupe for Gen G. Simple waxy, matte lip product. When you get it new, I suggest wearing it over lip balm first just to warm up the product. After which you should be good to go. It's a sheer, matte formula, not drying or moisturizing, but if you layer with balm it will lock it in place. Don't apply this over chapped lips and then be annoyed your lips are dry...its not a hydrating product. It is simply the perfect, wax-based matte-formula. Please keep making this.

I absolutely love these matte sticks. They have a "natural" smell because they don't have an added scent smell. They give the lip a lovely matte color that lasts and is pretty even as it fades. I only wish that Burts Bees would add more brown tones for Olive or Brown skin tones. Shades of coffee would be beautiful. In fact, more true brown lip products would be great in general.

The color is gorgeous, but what I especially love about this product is that the color comes on slowly. You can apply just a few strokes to get a subtle color, or you can keep layering the product to make the color darker. It doesn't smudge either, will be getting this in more colors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first tried this Burt's Bees Matte Stick in Liquid Honey color, I was surprised at how flattering this color is on my lips. It was not was expected, not as dark, but still pigmented. The first thing I thought of was that it had a very "romantic vibe". It brought out the pink in my cheeks. So with minimal effort I had a very elegant look just from this matte stick. For a different hue of color, I sometimes top it off with Burt's Bees lip gloss in flushed blush- a really great combo. I do notice that if I eat something, I will have to reapply, but that is simple enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's very rich in color and does not dry out my lips! I love how it glides on and you get the pigmentation from the first swipe. In the photo attached you can see a swatch of just one application. Definitely recommend this one!

This lipstick is tricky but in a good way. It is dry and it does have a certain smell to it but nothing terrible. I actually like that it has a dry texture because it allows for the color to really stay on. I like to apply the Beeswax Lip Balm before applying this Matte Stick and it is the PERFECT DUO/COMBO. I completely understand the other reviews about this product being too dry but I enjoy the formula. The colors are also very beautiful and very natural which allows for the matte texture to look natural as well. Other matte lipsticks are just too loud and that is not the case with this Matte Stick.

At first I'm hesitate to make the purchase because based on the sheen lipstick I've tried from burt's, the color is not saturated. However, I'm so glad that I gave this matte stick a try! It's pigmented, nourishing, and not like other matte lipsticks that leaves your lips drier and leave cracks on your lips. Plus you can't beat the price point. Give it a try, you might like it too!

This product comes in an convenient twist-up tube for easy and smooth application to lips. I am fair-skinned and love how well this deep berry color compliments my skin tone and features. I found this lip product to apply easily and evenly with no effort. Burt's Bees Matte Stick truly leaves your lips shine-free, with a beautiful, flat color finish. Overall, I absolutely love everything about this lip product. I do wish the color would stay more than an hour or so, but reapplication does the trick when I want to enhance my lips on the go! I highly recommend this matte stick to add a little color to your pout!!

Hear me out. I've been looking for a more affordable/accessible version of the Gen G blotted lip look and these are as close as I've found with the advantage of coming in WAY more colors. I LOVE this product, but it's the packaging that makes this lipstick fail imo. I see a lot of reviews saying the lipstick is drying, crumbly, drags and pulls. I honestly think it's because of the packaging. It's contained in a very cheap,thin, weak plastic that bends easily. The cap comes off constantly and has the same angled point as the lipstick shape so if you don't put the cap on in line with the tip of the lipstick, it will squish the bullet and the tube that's supposed to protect it (when I accidentally did this the plastic of the tube bent and didn't even completely return to it's shape so not only did it crumble and ruin the tip of the lipstick but the tube it comes in). I think the thin plastic and the crappy cap design is what makes the lipstick inside dry, hard, and crumbly. I have 4 of the colors (Plum, Raspberry, Blush, and Rhubarb), and they're all very pretty, even on my constantly chapped lips, but I can't trust it to stay put together if I toss it in my purse. It also smells like crayons which doesn't bother me personally but it might bother some. Having to handle the flimsy plastic with so much care to keep the product inside fresh is just too much work. I still love them and want more, but PLEASE change the packaging.

The quality may be fine but the actual color is much lighter than shown in photos. Not what I was looking for at all. In general I'm happy with most of your products but disappointed with this.
