For the longest time, I couldn't eat baked beans without my sugar shooting up. I was thrilled when I found these and was very surprised how good they taste. As an aside, if you do Weight Watchers, regular baked beans are very high points. These are not.
Bravo to the Bush Company! I am a baked bean lover from waaay back. As I have gotten older (Now 81), sugar finds a way to take a toll on my body. So here we are... a very low sugar baked bean that tastes great, virtually the same as the sugary stuff (which always has at least a whole day's worth of the USDA's 'tolerable' recommendation of sugar. If you need more of a BBQ taste, just add a small amount of BBQ sauce, and voila!... you're on your way to a fine side dish. PS... if you like your beans spicy hot, just add some crushed and roasted hot peppers... a delish dish!
My all time favorite baked beans. There is 1 gram of sugar and O grams added sugars as shown on the food label. Sucralose is listed next to the last ingredient. I know some people do not like sucralose, or any of the other similar sweeteners in their food (me included), but as a pre-diabetic, this gives me a choice. The taste is good. I personally can't tell the difference between these beans with zero sugar added and the original recipe. I will also mention that there are no little pieces of meat or fat in these beans. The 12-pack buying option is convenient because these baked beans don't last long at my house.
I think these are absolutely as good as the regular beans. Taste great. I've even used them for beanie wienie. Try to shave a few calories wherever you can if it still tastes good.
Bush's Zero Sugar Added Baked Beans are EXCELLENT. Their other Baked Beans are good but they have too much sugar in them. These Zero Sugar Baked Beans are so delicious.
I'm trying to eat healthier and cut out sugar. You can't even tell these are sugar-free. They taste exactly like the regular version.
I'm not usually a fan of artificial sweeteners, and this made me remember why. The beans were a little too sweet and there was a bit of a weird aftertaste. They're okay, just not to my taste.
Bought these beans instead of regular because I thought they were significantly lower in calories. Reading the label for the original beans it shows 270 calories per serving, and this one shows 110 calories per serving. However, the original is a 1 cup serving and this one is a half cup serving, which I didn't notice at the time. I was willing to compromise some flavor to save so many calories but the beans were pale, watery and tasted awful. Come to find out the same serving (1/2 cup) of the original is only 25 calories more. Save your taste buds and just get the original. 25 little calories are not worth the major sacrifice of flavor. Yuck!!
Tastes miles too sweet, supposed to be Zero sugar but contains Sucrose, which l beleive is not good for Diabetics
Fake news, fake Sugar!!! (sucralose🤢 ) honestly, the taste is so gross! bushs beans are so grossly sweet trust me you're gaining no benefit from either all the unnecessary sugar...or the artificial sweetener! getting my money back. just eat plain beans they're very good for you!
