Best socks I've ever owned. I absolutely hate having to wear socks. I usually wear flip flops any chance I get because I can't stand the feeling of socks. I have to wear socks when I work though, as my job requires us to wear closed toed shoes. I usually rush home and the first thing I do is rip off my socks. I didn't want to take these socks off. They are so soft, thick yet wick sweat away from the skin. I still am in shock at how comfortable and breathable these socks are. I will be buying more. That says a lot, as I usually only ever own 5 pairs of socks at a time because I only ever wear them if I'm working.
I ordered the 3-pack of wool, ankle Busy Socks because I want socks that are warm for cold weather wear, but don't cut the circulation to my lower legs by being too tight around their tops. These seemed to fit my needs and indeed have proved to be exactly what I was looking for. The are cozy, comfortable and don't cut circulation. The arch support works as it should without being overly constricting. They are true to size; I wear a size 9 womens shoe so ordered the S-M size, which fit perfectly. I have worn all three pairs and laundered them once; they washed well and have not shrunk. I am delighted!
My husband usually only wears expensive, name-brand wool socks, but these were so reasonably priced that I decided to give them a try—and I’m so glad I did. These Busy Socks have turned into his go-to socks. They’re thick, comfortable, and feel great for workouts or everyday wear. The light gray color looks nice and goes with everything. It’s hard to beat the quality for the price, and they’ve definitely proven that you don’t need to spend a lot to get great wool socks.
These are comfortable, low-cut wool socks that don't bind at the ankle. I would not call these compression socks but they are woven in such a way as to provide support without being tight. These socks are cushioned enough to be comfortable but not so thick that they interfere with wearing shoes normally. I will buy these again.
I wear these socks all winter. They are a little thicker than non wool ones but not so thick that they make your shoes tight. They add some extra warmth for cold feet in northeast winters. The pack of three was a good price. They wash well, are easy to put on and are comfortable.
The are wonderful for all of us hikers, especially in the fall and winter. Definitely recommend!!
I gave these busysocks a try since they are very well priced and made of wool. Upon receiving my socks, I found that they were of good quality, stretchy, and comfortable. I’ve only had them for about a month, and use them for running. The upper part of the sock is thinner and bottom is thicker with more cushion. The socks are fairly stretchy and does not provide compression. The socks are true to size but stretchy which means you can over-stretch them a bit. They provide all day comfort for my feet, and only picks up slight moisture during heavy physical activity. I’ve had no problems with circulation. My only concern is the material is very fine in some areas and started to pill making me question how long these will last. I assume washing them inside out on cold cycle with woolite and tumble drying low will extend the life of these socks.
the socks got full of a lot of lint
No discernible wool in these socks, they feel like very cheap, thin synthetic material, and would slide down into your boots if you wore them hiking. False advertising-- do not buy. I do not understand the 5 star reviews unless they received different socks.
too cushiony, and not enough wool blended in for warm has some warmth, just not enough. too airy knitted. on a cold night, i put two pair on for bed socks was ok. need more wool
