C by GE Tunable White BR30 Smart LED Bulbs (4-Pack)

I received this GE B30 SM MLT CLR C by GE Tunable White Smart Bulbs in exchange of an honest review.  I have always love smart products.  I have many smart products.  They honestly make life much easier, happier and in some cases very safe. I have q few smart indoor cameras. I also have a smart coffeemaker. I now own this GE B30 SM MLT CLR C by GE Tunable White Smart Bulbs. Which comes with 1 LED BR30 Indoor Floodlight Bulb. I believe their's other packages that come with a few more bulbs in the the package.  I just dont want you think that this is one of them . This GE tunable bulb with one in the packaged and this one bulb has 65 watts in it. This is an led bulb.  This bulb is very easy to set up. This does not required  hub. Once you had set up your bulb simply turn on the light.  After you done that you need to download the Google Home application.  After you done that you simply follow the instructions on the app. It does comes with an estimated yearly energy cost of $1.32 based on 3 hours  a day.  I really like this indoor bulb. I like how you can adjust light from warm to cool. It helps when you're just waking up and you don't need the bright light in your eyes. Or when you need the bright light to located something right away.  Another thing I love about this bulb is you get to schedule and set when you need the lights on or off automatically . I honestly love that.  Especially for my kids room. They know when the last are off the means it's time to sleep. When the light turns on it means it time to get ready for school . This bulb is also controlled with hands free voice control.  You can use your voice to adjust the brightness of the bulb or turn it off and on. This works perfectly with your Google home device.  If you don't have one, don't worry you can also use your smartphone.  This last thing is what makes me absolutely love this GE B30 SM MLT CLR C by GE Tunable White Smart Bulbs (1 LED BR30 Indoor Floodlight Bulb), 65W , if your on vacation or out for the day and forget to turn on the lights.  You can turn on or off the lights from your phone. To me this is very important.  I tend to go out alot. My family lives at least an hour away from me. I leave early to spend the whole day with them  But I don't want to waste so much energy by living the lights on the whole day. Nor do I want to drive an hour just to turn off the lights . So what better than this app that helps me save money , time and helps keep my house save. With the lights on for a while people will think someone is home. To me this a very important.  I absolutely love this led bulb.  I'm in control of the light with my voice or just by pressing a button on my cellphone.  I honestly recommend this to everyone.  Great small investment to your home. I will be ordering more of this, because yes you are aloud to have serval goggle products on your app. I need at least 3 more for my kids room and living room. No more walking in the dark for us. Ki

The GE tunable white smart bulb does it all... because it's a smart bulb it can be set to adjust lighting, and go on/off on command remotely as needed, to help when away from home. It is controlled by voice, working with Google voice controls. Set up was easy, plug the smart bulb in turn on the light, and manage with Google voice controls.

I never knew I needed a smart light bulb, but I'm so glad I have one now! The technology is so convenient. I love being able to have bright or dim light, setting a timer for it to come on or off, and being able to control it from bed or even away from home through our google home! It's such a cool thing, I can't wait to get more.

This is way too cool! We can now control the living room light with our voice. We can give google the command to turn on/off the light and/or dim or brighten the light to 100%. It does require you to have google assistant, like a google mini. While away from home you can also use the google home app to set schedules to turn on or off the light. I really like using the app because at night while everyone is sleeping it is inconvenient to tell google to turn off the light without waking someone up. Therefore if you use the app you can control the light without having to make any noise. I especially love this smart lightbulb because you save money and energy by controlling the light from your phone while away. I will be buying more of these smart lightbulbs to make my home a smart home. Thank you Walmart for providing this product. I highly recommend it!

If you have lights in or outside your house that you want to have timed to turn on or off on a schedule and you want to make them a warm or daylight bright light, this is the type of lightbulb for you. I have a few outside lights around my house that I want to turn on at a certain time and turn off at a certain time and I can do that with this bulb. I had to use the C by GE app to do this...I don't have a Google Home device in my house, so I could not use the Google Home app to control the lights. Either way, it works.

I had a bit of a rough time getting this setup but I'm really not that great with things like this. Now that it's setup it works great. I like that it's dimmable. I love that with the app you can control your lights from away from home. I have used the app and turned the lights on from the driveway, I will never have to walk into a pitch dark house again!. It even allows you to set schedules. I plan to buy some of the regular bulbs to do this. I think it would be great to have the lights come on at dusk especially in the winter when it gets dark before anyone gets home. I saw this will also work with Alexa which is great. I just haven't figured out how to set that up yet. I really love the features!

The features of this light bulb are great! The colors are completely customizable from very bright cool daylight to warm and cozy. The packaging doesn't indicate clearly if the bulb is waterproof, but since its a floodlight, I assume it is meant for outdoor use. However, I installed it in an interior lamp just to be sure. The downside is, if you don't have a Google Home Device, you have to download a separate app that requires you to create an account to be able to access any of the lights features. This was a big negative for me as I don't see the necessity of creating an account that requires my email to be able to use any of the features of a lightbulb. That being said, it is a decent bulb that probably works really well with Google Home.

The GE Tunable White smart bulb allows you to easily adjust the hue of white light, from blues to oranges and everything inbetween. You can create scenes and access them from the app with just a tap to change the mood (as long as the mood calls for a relatively bright whitish light - this light does not included colored lights). Also included is the ability to create schedules using the automation feature. And with Google Home Assistant you can control this bulb with your voice, even if you're not home. Unfortunately I couldn't get that feature to work. I first downloaded the C by GE app. It found and synced with the lightbulb immediately, and recognized that mine was a smart bulb and best controlled by the Google Home Assistant app. So I downloaded the new app, but it couldn't find my smart bulb device, even after basic troubleshooting. Perhaps the app doesn't work as well as the Google Assistant devices but it was frustrating to not be able to use it to it's full potential. However the bulb should last 13.7 years (based on 3 hrs/day) so hopefully I'll have a Google Assistant in the future and be able to update this review! Within the C by GE app there's a 'white light color wheel' you can adjust by dragging your finger or tapping on a new part of the wheel. It's really easy to use and pretty remarkable how versatile and adjustable the bulb is for color changes. To create scenes, it would be helpful to have a number of these bulbs in a room. Unfortunately I only have 1 bulb so I was limited in using this feature. It appears to be a quality product and has a clean standard design. I would recommend the smart bulb from C by GE as a good buy, especially if you have a Google Assistant and get multiple bulbs to use together.

There are pro's and con's to this device. To use this bulb at its fullest a Google Home device is required. There is an app for minimal use that will control on and off and dimm ability. This is a programmable light that can be scheduled to go on and off automatically. With a Google Home device the bulb can be adjusted by voice or when away from home. The cost of a bulb is $15 or more which is reasonable for the capabilities. There is a limited 3 year warranty based on 3 hrs/day use with a cost of $1.32 average per year. As a person who travels frequently, I love the ability to turn my lights on and off when away to conserve energy yet leave the appearance that someone is in the home. I like being able to turn on lights for my dogs so they are not in the dark. The programmable feature is very appealing. I do not have the Google Home device however I am considering it. These would be great for older adults who live alone or disabled individuals. As a nurse I can see many uses for my clients.

This is a pretty amazingly featured product to come in such a small package. It doesn't require a hub to work, it will work right from your smart phone. It also works from Google Home device using voice control. It doesn't say on the box, but after doing some research this appears to work with Amazon Alexa as well, but I wasn't able to test this. This allows for tons of different light temperatures from warm (yellow) to cool (blue). Scheduling is easy and you can set it both for specific times and different color temperatures. The app can control the light power mode and scheduling when you are away from home via Wi-Fi so that is a cool feature for vacations. It could be brighter, but it is only an 800 lumen bulb. But since it is dimmable, I wish it were closer to 1200 lumens (for comparison a 65 watt incandescent bulb gives around 700 lumens, but a 100 watt incandescent can give over 1200 lumens). Life of the product is long, it estimates nearly 13 years at an average of 3 hours per day, and is actually guaranteed for three years under these conditions. I've seen other smart lights that do full range of colors, but I would feel more comfortable with this in terms of life and quality. It's a really fun, smart product, but again I would love if they could increase the maximum brightness from 800 to 1200 lumens.
