Looks Great and High Quality.

DallasR1 December 11, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a builder's grade dishwasher that was loud, poorly designed for capacity, and had trim pieces falling off. The GE Cafe looks great and has a large and orderly capacity. It is so quite - we hardly know it's on.

so happy with ALL of my Cafe appliances

Dana East November 12, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my GE café appliances during a Black Friday sale. I love to cook and spend time in the kitchen and wanted highly functional appliances. Not only did they look great, but they are fantastic! I bought a microwave, a refrigerator, range, and a dishwasher. I cannot tell you what a joy it is to be in the kitchen and cooking for loved ones on these fantastic appliances. I always thought that I'd want to go higher and with brands such as Thermidor, Viking, etc., however, I can honestly say after using these appliances, I would buy these again and my next house. they are every bit as good and my opinion, and a much better price point

Rough initial install

Jen Bea August 26, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I purchased this to replace my previous Cafe Series dishwasher which gave out only after 6 years. It was cheaper to replace than try to troubleshoot and repair motherboard. Everything went smoothly until we did our initial wash cycle. Everything was still dirty, so we tried everything to fix the issue from rinsing, to less detergent, used different detergent, to cleaning the trap every time, to running the hot water at the sink, so the cycle would be hot. I gave up and called both installers and GE. Installers told me they just don't make em like they used to. Then the GE repairman discovered that the heating element was unplugged and that explained why things weren't getting cleaned and they weren't dry even on Ultra setting. It was so validating to finally have resolution.

Stylish and Quiet, but question the sturdiness

ww292 November 16, 2025

The good: The dishwasher is very stylish, matching our Cafe range. It is also very quiet, much quieter than our old Profile model. The not as good: The door and the racks are rather flimsy. Pull the handle anywhere other than dead center and it twists and flexes. Pull the top rack out with more than a few dishes and the slides begin to flex down. Even more so when loaded. The racks themselves feel light and deflect with the slightest amount of pressure. Overall it has nicer aesthetics but feels a bit less quality than the 8 year old GE Profile it replaced.

Our Initially Disappointing GE Café Experience

ArtD July 8, 2024

DISHWASHER - Café™ CustomFit ENERGY STAR Stainless Interior Smart Dishwasher With Ultra Wash & Dry, 42 dB Pros - The dishwasher was delivered undamaged, installed without incident, looks good, and appears to perform as designed. It is very quiet when running. Has a useful digital time countdown display. Cons – Too many marketing specialty features, include fold-down tines for large items and a bottle jet system, negatively hamper ergonomics. The interior tine layout is very limiting and reduces load capacity. This may increases usage and power consumption. Even with ultra-dry cycle, the filter well retains a lot of water. Recommend - No The middle rack is described as “primarily for glasses, cups, and saucers”. Bowls do not fit. We use middle rack for typical mugs and stemware. Requires creativity to load and limits capacity. The lower rack's rear row of tines adjusts at an upright angle to support 11 large plates. The front row of tines are fixed and support small plates. We use front row for various medium-size bowls (cereal/ soups/chili/salads). Bowls are not supported and fall forward, so 4 maximum. This capacity issue with front row could be rectified by adding an adjustment similar to rear row. Bottom line: We will live with the inconvenience of the dishwasher, given the desirable features of the range and refrigerator.

Not worth the extra money

jody7 February 3, 2026

Have owned this diswasher for just over 5 years. We remodeled and bought all new GE Cafe appliances. The dishwasher door leaked at first use. GE sent a repair company out who ended up removing some of the rubber insulation around the outside of the machine. Problem solved. Now 5 years later, we woke up to discover our hardwood floor was warped around our kitchen island. The source of water is the bottom of our dishwasher. Not happy at all. We paid top dollar to get a good product that hasn't lasted 5 years.

Do not buy GE

Pass on GE January 7, 2026

This dishwasher worked great for about a year and a half. Then it didn't. Now after 4 years it does not work at all. If you are going to spend money on a nice dishwasher, I would not buy this one. It has one problem after another. We bought an entire set of Cafe appliances and the only one that still works (for now) is the refrigerator. I will not be going with GE for any more of my appliances. I can't get rid of these fast enough.

Piece of Junk!

White Mountains February 15, 2025

This is a very poorly made dishwasher. I have a kitchen aid in another home that is 100 better. It is very flimsy made and does not hold much. Then I purchased this I purchased as part of a group of Cafe appliances and never saw in person. I wish I looked at it in person. The third rack is so small that you can only fit silverware on it.

Terrible configuration!

SP85 August 27, 2026

This is the single worst dishwasher I've ever owned or used. It may as well only have one rack, if you adjust the top rack down so you can fit anything other than a sippy cup then the blade actually hits the silverware tray handle. Don't even think about putting an actual dinner plate on the lower rack while the top rack is in the lower position. I had the old version of this dishwasher and the “new improved” version is a joke. I don't think they even tried to use this thing before releasing it to the public. Do not buy unless you only own cups that are 4” tall. The nut cutlery trays is also a joke and takes up another 2” of vertical space that you don't have to spare.

Great dishwasher - when it works

Vince S June 14, 2026

Purchased the dishwasher and it was installed May 13, 2026. Used it twice, did an amazing job and left for a European vacation for 3 weeks. Came home and no power to the dishwasher. Checked the breaker, checked the power receptacle, called Bodewell and they confirmed no surges or power issues. Had to order a new control board - initially stated 2 weeks - now backordered for an undetermined amount of time. Unacceptable.
