Beautiful range with great features

Gator May 22, 2022

Have had this beautiful range for two months. So far it is working flawlessly. It is an induction range, so yes, your cookware must be magnetic, and yes, it makes some buzzing-type noises. Our experience with the noise is in line with other induction ranges we have used. I am a big proponent of induction cooking in general so these factors are not an issue for me. I've seen some repeated comments and questions about certain topics so I thought I'd clarify from my experience with this range: - Yes, there is an Air Fry feature and I am able to turn on this mode directly from the range itself. - I am able to turn on the convection bake and convection roast modes directly from the range itself. - The range did not include a sous vide probe. - I do not own any smart cookware, so my experience with the precision cooking modes is limited to the left front burner with the built-in sensor. This sensor works well. - I don't find the in-oven camera to be particularly useful. - The Chef Connect feature that will automatically turn on the overhead light on the microwave is great. - I have not had any issues accidentally bumping the control panel when reaching for the back burners. When wiping the control panel clean, it will cause the menus or burners to be activated. For me this is a minor annoyance, especially since the burners will not actually "turn on" unless there is cookware placed on the burner. - The storage drawer is incredibly easy to open and close, even with heavy items contained within. Whether this range is "worth" its premium price is a personal decision, but for me, I am quite pleased with the purchase and very happy with the range.

Lots of things to learn about.

Birdbill May 31, 2024

Seems ok. Burners are too sensitive. To the size of the PAN. Period the temperature control seems too not be responsive. 2 small changes period the camera in the oven worked well. That seemed aims too far back for casserole. I put in period Have not been able to connect my s m q yet, but haven't spent a lot of time at it. The front left burner with the little bump in it. The spring is too strong and tips. A lot of pans. Add installation. The plug in back was not recess into the oven, so that you couldn't slide the unit all the way against the wall and had to put a spacer in. You wanted to know what I think of it. I've told you I hope that s time goes on. I'll learn to use more features. And enjoy it more.

Looks great, cooks great. Mobile app needs work

Tino December 7, 2021

only took 6 months to get it in stock from the online store I ordered from! Lets hope when you read this review, its a better time than 2021. range itself is 5 stars. start with appearance, it looks beautiful. I love the platinum glass. Its unique, would fit in with stainless or white themes. Personally, I find stainless gets marks if you even look at it funny, and requires special cleaners, that cant work miracles. This Glass wipes off with a wet rag, or some glass plus. no matter how greasy it gets, it cleans up without a blemish. Stove gets hot fast. boils water like no ones business, I like the precision temp on the front left burner that lets you pick a specific degree for that pan and it will maintain it no matter what you might add to that pan which might otherwise have required you to adjust it manually. Oven has like... 6 modes, bake, broil, 2 different convection modes (multi pan and... roast I think), and an air fry mode (theres a question on here about airfry and the maker says it doesnt have one? but thats definitely not true right now). not sure the difference between the convections and airfry, I assume its fan speed, but the air fry cooks fast, and gets stuff extra crispy. oddly airfry does not "preheat", so you're not sure when it is hot (though you could preheat in another mode and then switch it I guess). The opportunities and issues Oven rack is a bit weak, just doesnt slide as smoothly as Ive seen others. Its not bad, but as one of the best induction ranges you can buy, I expect the best rack. The bottom drawer, supposedly its a double latch where you push in and it should pop out. That doesnt happen for me. I have to grab it by the top or side to open it. And lastly, the app... well... as of December 2021, its not good folks. Its got the right idea, just bad execution. I was able to connect to the oven on the 2nd attempt which is good. but its just kind of laggy. temperature and preheat updates are minutes behind the truth. The camera (which is like... the reason to buy this model over the other one that looks the same) is not reliable, it will lag out often, and I was hoping I could record the video (would be fun for social media to show a timelapse of food cooking), but it doesnt appear you can record the footage (though it has a record button, which exits camera mode, or maybe its just lagging out). I will say that the image is clear, so its got potential. It also does not show the current preheat temp, which I feel like it should be able to do. The app is the -1 star for me, though it gets 1 star on its own. I really hope they can get it together. The fact that the app is the single app for ALL Haier products gives me hope that this app will get continued support... Lastly, smart home integration. The only command Ive found to work is "set oven to 400degrees". Which is fantastic... but thats only bake mode, I cant tell it to do convection or air fry. I cant adjust the range burners. I generally will tell it to preheat, then switch it to the appropriate mode after its preheated and I get up to put the food in. Also, for a touch screen, I feel like I should be able to have multiple timers running. It has 1 timer (though it also has an "oven timer" which will turn the oven off when its done).

Love the platinum glass collection

Escalon23 July 15, 2024

I am giving it a 4 star because I have not had it long enough to use it. We have only had it two weeks. I love the look and style. Love that I can control it from my phone. I am extremely loving the glass in front that shows no finger prints. So far all I have is good things to say. Can't wait to try the air fryer in the oven.

Not real pleased so far, but still getting started

birdbill May 24, 2024

It is a little difficult to set up. I have not been able to connect my HestanCue pans yet. The touch knobs dont seem to have the variantion flexability I imagined. The burners are too sensitive to the pan placement. Basically all I have is a 1 aburner stove so far. A stove that expensive should come with the temp probe for the oven, lcant believe I have to buy one.

Bad Design--Regret my purchase

Disappointed in WA December 28, 2025

The most dangerous aspect of this range is how much heat escapes and blasts a person in the face when opening the oven door. This amount of heat blast is highly unusual--I've owned many ovens in my 60 years--and so this must be design related. The front of the cooktop is too large and pans easily bump into this raised area when removing from the stove, Plus, who needs a giant ugly clock at the front? The dials for the burners are generally touchy and awkward, and if your hand is moist they don't respond well. Too many digital features make functionality slower and more glitch prone. Seriously regret buying this range!

Problematic

PattiM July 17, 2024

Has a lot of potential, but the left front burner has been a problem since I got the stove. I currently have the 3rd service call scheduled. FYI, the service site is worse than the stove.

Don't buy it !

Mark890 September 17, 2024

I purchased this range two years ago, and I've already had to request service five times due to repeated induction failures. It malfunctions every few months, leaving us without a functioning range for weeks at a time. Each repair takes between one to two weeks to get things back to normal. If you're considering this range, I'd strongly recommend staying away from it due to its ongoing reliability problems.

Rebate boondogle

Dave RM August 10, 2025

The process to complete rebate form for the Hestan Cookware is nearly impossible to complete! From start to finish the process seems to be a complete failure. The stove itself okay. Burners do seem to be a bit temperamental....time will really tell as we become more familiar with this product.
