Calcium Chloride- 2 oz. by Midwest Home brewing and Winemaking Supplies

I have never made home made pickles before, and didn't want to because I have tasted those that my Mother made and really didn't like them at all. They were mushy and had a horrible texture. I have never had homemadr pickles with a good crunchy texture before this. This product keeps them crisp and I have made several jars that are crunchy and good. I highly recommend. I don't preserve many things and this is worth your time.

I gave "Taste" 5 stars only because I have no idea if the taste is okay or not since I was using it to spray on my tomatoes that were looking poorly. This is a recommended solution if tomatoes are showing signs of blossom end rot. They seem to be doing much better now with some more calcium. If I need to do this again, I'll be repurchasing because this brand mixed rapidly.

Since this isn't something you eat alone, so I could only give an average rating for taste. Bought to make cheese and it will work, I'm sure. I've purchased from LD Carlson in the past and was always satisfied with their quality. Like everything though, prices are a bit high. At least they offer a small quantity so I will be able to use most of it before it becomes outdated.

bought to use as an ingredient for an environmentally friendly furniture sealant. Can't speak for brewing but it worked great for me.

It does what it's supposed to - I guess? I mean it's calcium chloride. I got it for pickling, but I'd rather be making wine.

Good size for making crisp pickles as it takes very little.
