Caldwell Past Rock Shooting Front Rest, Adjustable, Green

Super solid construction and easy to manipulate adjustments. I made some rubber feet for use on concrete shooting benches at my local range as the steel spikes for the adjustable feet will slide a little on a hard concrete table. Highly recommend as a general purpose shooting rest.

Really nice bench rest has made load development much easier. Rock solid even on questionable shooting benches at my outdoor range.

The shooting rest is heavy, but well constructed. The weak link in all this is the instruction sheet, there are assumptions that everyone knows what all the parts are called and how they go together. I used the shooting rest yesterday at the range, and found it easy to use. I needed to sight in two pistols, and this really helped. dve

With very few parts to put together, I am very pleased with what I purchased. Bonus: I did not know that it also moved left to right—a big plus.

This is a very solid rest featuring stainless steel, ball bearing movement, and a solid cast frame. Once your rifle is in it, it feels like it's going nowhere

For the money, this is a great buy. Before owning this rest I used a fixed front rest and made most of my adjustments using the rear bag, it always seemed like a struggle from shot to shot, having to my position for every shot. With this rest you keep the rear bag stationary and adjust the Rock BR competition rest for for elevation and windage. It works great and I was able to tighten my groups considerably. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. Caldwell was very fast with the order and had a good price. I highly recommend this rest, if you do your part, it will help tighten your groups and make your shooting much easier.

Excellent front shooting rest especially shooting from a bench or prone with a rear bag. Very well made with great rough and fine adjustments for perfect shooting groups. One note however, you do need a medium high tall rear bag to level your rifle as this front rest is pretty tall even at its lowest setting.

If your looking for a decently priced, decently built front rest for benchrest shooting at the range or in the field....This one will do what it's intended to do. However, if your ego needs the big names, the fancy finishes, and all the bells and whistles.....be prepared to spend a whole lot more money.

Good solid rest that is hundreds less expensive than the next level of competition rests. The machining was a bit rough on mine so I polished the vertical adjust screw and chased the threads in one of the feet. Both issues would have been corrected with use so not a major problem. If you're looking for a well made bench rest at a budget price, I would recommend this.
