My daughter loves Calico Critters and this house is great with so many details and options for creative play. I did give 3 stars for age appropriate because it says 3 and with all of the small pieces I think it’s better for school age children, but that just my opinion. We love it!

Great large Calico Critters mansion. We purchased for our 7 year old for her birthday, and it's perfect for the little animal family we bought separately. Be warned, though, that this does NOT come with ANY animals or accessories...just the structure. We looked at so many options on different platforms, that we didnt realize from the listing at first that this one comes without any extras (and that is why it's a little cheaper than the same building that comes with some basic furniture and a couple of animals). Our daughter loves the working lights inside, and the attic is a fun addition to the standard house. Easy to assemble, but not everything is secure when you put it together (some rooms are movable, and those don't securely hook into their spots. This has been a point of contention for us because we have younger siblings who have bumped into it and everything goes helter-skelter). Overall, it does what it's meant to. :)

i didnt read what comes with it , but for the price i though it comes with figures or accessories. and then the ladder , the instructions doesn't even say where it goes. this 81$ house feels like an EA game where you have to buy 10 ad ons to get the full experience
