California Naturals Super Moisture Shampoo, 16.5 fl oz

I loved this shampoo! First, it smells amazing, like pina colada with a cucumber, very lovely! Second, my hair looks full of life! Third, I've gotten many compliments from people who see me every day and have noticed a difference too, my hair SHINES! The only con for me is that I have to use two pumps of product, instead of one as I usually do with different brand. Could be due to natural ingredients. But it's totally worth it for me!

First impressions of the shampoo, the smells is immaculate and juicy. The summer fig scent is very prominent and enjoyable but not overwhelming. For a moisturizing shampoo, it has a very strong lather and keeps my hair soft and clean while being able to detangle knots safely. I also appreciated the fact that it is mostly naturally derived ingredients and I feel safe using it on my scalp. I was gifted this product for a review, and have really liked it so far! I've been looking for a new shampoo since my hair has been getting greasy a lot faster after cutting it short, and this shampoo has been a lot better. The clean ingredients are also a plus. I've noticed that the smell is pretty subtle, but pleasant. A big thing I've noticed is that my hair doesn't get as frizzy after washing as it used to! I would definitely continue to purchase this shampoo

Okay, first thing I noticed is that it smells AMAZING. It's like sweet but in a really fresh way?? I love it sm. It's a really unique smell. The packaging is cute, I like the feel of the bottle. I also enjoy the pump. The shampoo itself Iathers really well and cleans my hair. It's gentle enough it doesn't strip my hair of all its oil. In all honesty though my hair still looks about the same after using it for a week. It is a nice shampoo and I'll continue to use it, especially for the scent.

I imagine it works even better when paired with the conditioner.

I feel like this product smells amazing, but it just wasn't the right fit for my hair type. It's marketed as super moisturizing, yet I experienced the opposite. Instead of adding hydration, it dried out my ends and left my hair feeling stripped. I actually had to follow up with a hydrating mask to get my moisture back. Unfortunately, this one just didn't work for me.

The downside is that this stripped my hair as soon as I used it. It gave the same feeling I have after using a clarifying/detox shampoo while also making my hair oily pretty quickly. I appreciate the premise behind this brand and would try another product just for that. I just don't think this shampoo was a good fit for my hair.

So I washed my hair with it. Which has a very good lather, the shampoo smells really good. But it left my curls heavily weighted down and super greasy feeling after. This product would be great for some else. But it wasn't a fit for me. I have super curls hair 3B, with a mix of 3C curls. It is also on the coarse textured side. So I was really hoping it would work. But unfortunately it didn't.

The Super Moisture Shampoo smells good. It lathers up nicely and rinses clean. Now for the Moisturizing part, this is where it falls short. I only wash my roots and scalp letting the suds run over the rest of my hair. Where I went in and massaged my scalp while washing, as I always do, my hair was very tangled close to my scalp after I rinsed. It felt grippy and my fingers did not slide on my hair. Like a squeaky clean feeling, which I would associate with a "moisture" shampoo. I normally only condition the midshaft to ends and can finger comb my hair out. This was not the case using the Super Moisture Shampoo. I had to apply conditioner to the scalp and use a wide tooth comb working to detangle my hair.
