California Umbrella 9' Patio Umbrella in Canvas

I was looking for a nice black umbrella that would not fade. So far it looks great well made hopefully it will last. Definitely happy with my purchase!

We've purchased umbrellas online before, and were disappointed with the quality. This umbrella is exactly what we were looking for. It's sturdy and well designed. The tilt feature is great and easy to use. The ability to pick the pole color was a real plus. The fabric is heavy weight and beautiful. My only bummer moment was that they sold out and I wasn't able to buy more. Hopefully they'll carry this again next year. We're thrilled with this purchase.

We bought a number of these umbrellas for our community pool and they are great! They open and close easily, also the darker pole color w/ ""natural"" fabric color gives the umbrella a high class look. The umbrella's ""natural"" fabric color is a bit more tan/neutral than white. ..also one umbrella could not tilt (which is a dial above the open/close crank) and hayneedle's customer service was excellent handing the return. Highly recommend the umbrella. ..I've sen the umbrellas blow in the wind and the blow top helps relieve the pressure. . also on the cardboard box was a suggestion to keep the box for winter storage. Great idea!

I'm a property manager and had to find a commercial umbrellas for a pool area that is along the inter coast. The umbrella has to be able to stand up to wind gusts and salt water. It has been a little over two months and all three have weathered beautifully. I would definitely buy this again and the price was great!

Used in my treeless back yard to enjoy the weather. Well made. 97% UV protected. Better made than most.

Happy with the umbrella and how it works for our table and deck. Only have had it for about 2 weeks. Do need to take it out of stand when the wind gusts get strong. The only con I have is I wish the pole would be longer for fitting into the stand. I have a concern that a wind gust could bend/break it just under the button lock. There is only a few inches under the lock.

After a year or so, this umbrella broke down. I raised the umbrella one afternoon, then I noticed it was no longer in the raised position, totally closed. I attempted to open it up again with the crank but nothing happened. I raised the umbrella up by hand and found that the cord had broken. That meant the umbrella could no longer be raised. I've had a lot of umbrellas for various tables in my yard, and this kind of thing has never happened before. For Pete's sake, it was still a pretty new umbrella!

This umbrella has no tie, so flaps in the wind and causes friction to the table. I am having to tie it up with a ribbon, which looks ridiculous. The wind ""vent"" is tiny and also useless. I am ready to junk this new umbrella. Use only in very sheltered areas and without glass-top tables.
