Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - PlayStation 3

I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember, and this game is definitely at the top of my list. The graphics are absolutely incredible. My brother was watching me play and thought it was a cutscene instead of the actual gameplay, simply because the graphics were so sharp. The guns are very realistic. The sound is perfect, and really makes you feel like you're there, firing off automatic weapons and having grenades go off right next to you. It's a very intense game. The AI is well done, and if played at higher difficulty levels, you can tell the difference in the intelligence of the AI. THE ONLY TWO NEGATIVES OF THIS GAME: 1. I thought the campaign was a little short. It was very well done, and immensely fun to play, but I thought it could have been a little longer. 2. ONLINE GAMEPLAY: The online gameplay is fantastic! The play is seamless and almost never lags. The negative to online gameplay is that it is most often very difficult to get into a game. If you're wanting to play online in the morning or the early afternoon, then it's never a problem getting into a game. However, I've tried many times in the evening and it sometimes takes almost an hour to get into a game. There just aren't enough servers to handle all of the traffic. Hopefully this problem will be fixed soon. Other than that, the online gameplay is fantastic. Once you make it into a game, you don't have to fight for a place in line. OVERALL: Incredible! I'd recommend it to anyone!

Well, my husband had been wasting money renting this game and I decided to buy it for him. So, I can truely say he is pleased. He doesn't move from in front of the television and sometimes I think he forgets he is not really at war. But he loves it and I love that he loves it.

I actually received Resistance: Fall of Man as a gift and decided to swap it out for COD4. I must say I'm very proud of that decision. The single player mode is awesome. Like others say, it needs to be a little longer. It's so good you wish it was longer! Now the online play is just insane. Using your bluetooth for a little friendly competitive trash talk, a variety of war games to choose from, the ranking system, perks/challenges/unlockables, sound, and graphics makes this game a very addictive habit! So turn on your HDTV & pump up your surround sound. Just make sure you take care of all your other priorities first b/c you'll be there for a while!

I cannot stress enough how great this game is. The single player story is short but well made, and satisfying. Very high replay value due to the arcade mode which allows you to compete against yourself for the best scores on individual levels. Very cool. And as cool as the single player is, the online versus is unmatched. I have played many, many video games in my lifetime, and this is by far the most in depth online mode I've seen. The ranking system is refreshing and engaging. The amount of weapons and customization is also incredible, and gives you a sense individuality with the custom loadout settings. You like sniping, they got you covered. You a close quarters, shotgun kinda guy, they have just the perks and guns for you to do your worst to the enemy. Me personally, I am an Assault man, give me my AK, and a laser sight, and your mine. Hehe. You have to buy this game. Happy Hunting!

This game went above expectations. It was alot different than previous "Call of Duty" games. But between dodging bullets and progressing along in every stage,you will get a close to realistic army experience.

I've tried several First person shooting games on PS3 before, including rainbow 6, none of which meets my expectation as could control as easy as that on PC. Call of Duty 4 is different, its auto aim function makes you easy to aim and the excellent graphic design appears perfect visual effect on my HD TV. If you want to play some FPS game and don't want to spend too much money on 2 or 3 games, just buy this.

this game is the best game call of duty franchise has made. the graphics are the best ones that i have seen so far. the maps and are ridiculously awesome. expect the un-expected from all angles. the opfor is great and challenging. a must buy if you love fps games.

This was a great game awsome detail and sound. Story line was well thought out. The only down fall of the game for me is that the game was complete in lee then six hours. And do to the price of games for the new systems this is the games only down fall.

Just picked this up last Friday, not expecting a whole lot as I am not a big shooting games kind of guy. but this game totally blew me away. As mentioned by others, the graphics is just ridiculously sick. The online play is smooth, no lag whatsoever, and the wait is not bad. I look forward to the weekend so I don't have to work and play COD4 all day long.
