I bought this club in April and it definitely improved my yardage. The best part about it was not only did it give me 20 yards extra but I also hit a Hole in One on August 27th, just 4 months after using it. Thank you Calloway!
I thought i was buying a used driver but could literally not find the first blemish or evidence that the club had be used before. Maybe an unsold discontinued model. Regardless, I'm loving the driver especially when I flush one, a very distinct sound and result
Purchased the 10.5 degree about a month ago. I've played 4 rounds and it's AMAZING. It replaced my 15 year old Ping. Way too long to upgrade! Most forgiving club I have ever swung. Added 10 to 15 yards to my drive. After 2 rounds I drop to 9.5, easy adjustment. Hitting the ball straighter so have not used draw adjustment feature. Game improvement! Added 3 wood too, same features same forgiveness. Seriously considering getting irons to match.
I've had the 2023 big Bertha 10.5 RCH 45 shaft for two months now. It's one of the cheapest costing drivers I've bought and by light years the best driver ever. I'm keeping my Rouge max 10.5 for backup but this driver will never be replaced. I'm 74 my club head speed improved from 72 to 84 with this shaft and it's at least 10-15 yards longer. I also have the 3 &5 matching woods with all having adjustable shafts and rate the fairway wood just as highly. Over 20 years buying callaway clubs and couldn't happier. Thanks to Brian Macduffee for being so helpful. He's the best. If you play golf you've got to try these!
I love this driver. I had an Epic Speed, and could not stop slicing it. Bought this one and took it with the Epic speed to the driving range. Consistently 15-25 yards farther and the forgiveness fixed my slice. Now if I go right it's because of me, and it goes straight right without a slice.
The driver arrived in pristine condition. You could not tell that it was "second hand" if you compared it to a club in the store. I used it twice so far and since it was different from my old driver I had to do some adjusting to how I tee up the ball. After several holes I finally got the "tee-up" height that I need and boy was I pleasantly surprised. This driver added about 10-15 yards to my drive and it goes a lot straighter than my old driver. I will return to Callaway if I ever need to upgrade any other clubs in my bag.
I am a snowbird and bought this club used as I took my driver home and forgot to take it south again. ( I have 2 sets of clubs) This club was “like new” condition according to the ad. When I received it I was surprised to see that it was brand new-or at least looked like it. Still shrink wrapped in plastic including a brand new head cover. I am very impressed.
This is a great driver that work well with a slower swing speed. It took me a few rounds to figure that out. Swinging at 80-85% speed is not easy to do but if you can control that then dispersion and distance will actually increase even beyond your previous driver. Every time I play with this driver a seem to get longer? Solid contact for a senior player is always a good thing. Same for the 3W and 5W. I also have the 3W and 5W. Same results with slower swing.
The Callaway Big Bertha Driver absolutely delivers on one of its biggest promises: distance. For golfers with moderate or slower swing speeds, the lightweight design helps you generate clubhead speed without feeling like you're muscling the club. When you catch it flush, the ball jumps, and the sound at impact is one of the most satisfying in the game—clean, powerful, and confidence‑boosting. Where the Big Bertha falls short is in shot correction. If you naturally fade or slice the ball, this head design doesn't do much to help rein it in. The club is extremely light and easy to swing, but without any built‑in offset or additional anti‑slice geometry, it won't straighten out that right‑miss pattern on its own. That's why I think Callaway is missing an opportunity. If they took the current Big Bertha materials and engineering—especially the lightweight construction—and added an offset version, it would be a game‑changer for golfers with slower swing speeds who need both distance and help squaring the face. The ball would go even farther simply because more players would be able to start it on the correct line. Bottom line: Great sound, great feel, great distance. But if you fight a fade or slice, you'll need more help than this head provides. An offset Big Bertha would fill a huge gap in the lineup.
I bought this about a month ago as well as a 3 wood and have played 3 times with them. I did have to lower the angle from 12.5 to 11.5 and in hindsight I wish I ordered a 10.5 to fit the range it is able to be adjusted to. Overall, the club arrived and looked brand new, wrapped in plastic for protection and for the price is an exceptional purchase. My inexperience in ordering the correct club was the only mistake made and that on my end.
