[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spent several hours in the simulator going from wedges to woods, and these new Chrome Tour X gave me great low spin on my woods, and spot on high spin on the short irons. Soft feel and rewarding sound off the face.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great balls, they are extremely long and soft around the greens
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Feels great off the face. Not too firm, not too soft. Audio on all clubs is nice. Not too ticky. Feels great off chips and putts also.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested a sleeve of Callaway Chrome Tour balls. The balls are second to none. Excellent distance and feel plus responsive control. Try it, you'll like it
Senior golfer who gets better distance with the Chrome Tour X
An excellent golf ball. Tremendous feel with great distance!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was selected to test the new Callaway Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X golf balls. As a player who previously played the 2022 Chrome Soft golf balls, I can assure you that these new Tour balls are a big improvement in feel, distance, and spin. The ball best for my swing speed is the Chrome Tour. It performs exceptionally.
I am so impressed with the Chrome Tour X. It's remarkably consistent with spin, distance, and launch. Distance control is absolutely at the top of my list for what I look for in a ball. I am seeing consistent carry distances throughout the bag. Also, super important is how the ball handles the wind, and the CT X is as good as any ball I've tried in windy conditions. It holds its line well and again, has consistent performance, so I'm not getting any surprises. The X has a little extra spin around the greens compared to the Chrome Tour, which comes in handy on firm greens. I have seen no issues with the durability with the X and it looks and feels like a premium ball.
I started using the Tour X about three weeks ago. I bought them because of their sale and the reviews from My Golf Spy. I really like the fell and performance. However, the durability is not as good as the Titleist Pro V, Pro VX or Maxfli Tour. I'm sixty-three years old and I don't swing that hard but I scuffed two balls today out of the sand. The outer cover was cut and peeling back on both golf balls. I didn't expect this from Callaway's premium golf ball.
I bought 2 dozen Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X and Triple Diamond looking for a Prov replacement. I settled on the Chrome Tour X finally. However, the durability is really not great. It is reminiscent of the old days with square groove wedges. They will scuff or otherwise be damaged. I am hard pressed to get through 9 holes with 1 ball. Of the 3 balls I pulled out of my bag to check for this review, one had 3 scuffs, one had 6 scuffs and one had 7 scuffs. Just to be clear, this is not a result of cart paths or hitting trees. This is from iron strikes only. Conversely, on multiple occasions I played more than 18 holes with one Titleist. The usual reason for my to stop playing one of them is a lost ball.
