Awesome 5 Hybrid for Senior Golfers

Calloway Bruce April 9, 2026

Awesome club! The club looked like it had never been used and now is my favorite go-to Calloway club in the bag. Long term customer and once again very satisfied!

Easiest hybrid I've ever hit. And long distance. Highly recommend.

Guided by angels

Edward July 20, 2022

I've been desperate to write a review on this club as there are so few. I have a 5 hybrid with regular flex. 1) it looks amazing, stands out and people admire it, 2) it is feather weight for what it is (~312g in total compared with my XR-16 which is ~340g and more than my daughter's Solitaire which is ~295g). It's really easy to swing. I'd say the weight savings have been significant as the Star has much more technology than the XR-16 and the Solitaire sounds like an empty tin can but is really forgiving. The forgiveness on this is next level. I've not yet had a duff shot. Used it extensively on front 9 of my course and scored 29! 3) nice size club head gives confidence (larger behind the ball than XR-16 and Solitaire), 4) how it performs: amazing. No matter where I seem to send the ball, it brings itself back on line as though angels were steering it back onto the right path! I got my first ever birdy with it, Final thoughts: love it. The chap I was playing with on the first round I used it said I should take it to bed with me. Then he asked how much it cost. I'm so impressed I am replacing my highly trusted XR-16 3 hybrid with one.

Very easy to hit the epic max star hybrid. Great looking club and the ball comes off the club face like a rocket.

Accuracy and Distance

TJ January 28, 2022

I've been slowly replacing select irons with these hybrids and it improved my performance immediately. Light clubs with a much improved face they are friendlier than other Callaway hybrids for senior players.

I have 3H-7H now. They really help my game since I have lost distance with the long irons. GREAT CLUBS!!

Ben53 July 22, 2022

Highly recommend for golfers like me who have slowed down their swing speeds due to age, conditions, etc.

I bought them for myself and so satisfied that I also bought them for my grandson who is improving his game quickly using these clubs!

For slow swing speeds

billybob70 December 21, 2021

The club design is the same as the apex. The major difference is the shaft is for slow swing speeds, under 70 mph driver swing speed.
