Calphalon Classic Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

I have read a lot of reviews on this set. Yes they are not the premiers but I'll tell you straight up, if you purchase them at the discounted price you are getting at set of pans at that are well worth the money. If you follow the care instructions and don't commit the crime of burning them they should last you several decades with no worries. They ARE quality pans. I'll never use coated cookware ever again.

Needed a non toxic standard cooking set and this one was priced right and seems to fit the bill perfectly. I especially like the kids that offer a strainer feature and the clear glass lids that allow me to see the food I'm cooking. The oven along with the dishwasher safe compatibility feature is good! I know working this stainless steal comes with learning curve, but that's an east trade off than having disgusting flacks if non stick coatings that will eventually flake off into my food—that's a no go for me. The packaging was great despite the tears to the boxes All pieces are in pristine condition.

I bought this pans 3 weeks ago after my old non stick pots and pans started flaking. I did lots of research on different brands and types of pots/pans (stainless, nonstick, ceramic) I decided to go with the Calphalon stainless steel, though I was worried about cooking on them after always having nonstick pans. It took my about 2 days and watching a couple of YouTube videos to finally figure out how to cook an egg over medium without it sticking, but now I can do it easily. Cooking dinner(hamburger,chicken, pasta) though has been a breeze. Coconut oil helped me a lot with the sticking and Bar Keepers Friend has been a life saver for cleaning up afyerwards. The pans are built well with strong handles. Overall, I love my pans and recommend these to others, it may take a little patience to learn how to cook on it but it is week worth it

I gave these pans to a friend as a gift. He's a great cook and he loves them!- he did say the largest pot was a bit on the smaller side however. I also gave the premier set to my son as a gift and he loves them! Very high quality- they will be around for years to come! He's been cooking up some great stuff!!!! Get some! They're great!!!!!

I like my classic Calphalon for the quality of pans and pots, non stick stainless steel, easy to clean, weight is just fine and very thick metal… I am satisfied for the quality and price! It is as good as the $1000 cooking sets that you can buy. I really recommend Calphalon product!

Great product and easy to cook and clean. Recommended to purchase. Once you learn that cooking on Stainless Steel is as easy as allowing the pans to heat up to proper heat before beginning to cook, the rest becomes flawless.

I have been replacing all of my early marriage kitchen items and needed a new set of pots and pans too. My research had me narrowed down between two sets and I decided on my Calphalon Classic set. I am more than happy with my decision as the clean up on this set is a breeze.

The pots are perfect. I was reducing stock in two pots--one Calphalon, one from a local store--and the Calphalon one was boiling before the other even got to poaching temp. The pans? The only issue I have is that they smoke. I've been cooking with Grandma's cast iron pans for about 30 years, and I've never had one smoke when frying. The Calphalon ones do. That may simply be that I'm not familiar with stainless steel. That's a minor nit-pick. I am incredibly happy with my purchase--and I'm saying this as someone who has been cooking for 50 years, and has spent about 30 of them--on and off--working in professional kitchens.

Ordered this for an early Christmas. Looks great. Lightweight. Terrific "extras" such as measuring lines inside each pot/pan and a steam release vent on the cover of the large pot. One con: manufacturer says these are dishwasher safe but they don't get clean in the dishwasher. Also ... pay attention to the instructions about preheating the pot/pan to preclude food sticking. Really enjoying the whole set.
