I am so happy with my purchase. I love this pot - its easy pour sides, vented lid, and high quality construction make this model my “go to” pot for everyday cooking. Calphalon has been my favorite brand for the kitchen for years and years now … consistently made with high quality materials and always easy to clean, I would not have anything else in my kitchen.
A great idea and I love it for small batches of pasta but they used to make a larger one for family sized batches of pasta and I miss that pot so much! (It came with a steamer insert that I used to drain the pasta)
Wonderful pot, what sets it apart are the dual pour lips and the integrated strainer lid that aligns with the pour lips.
Calphalon is the best. I have been a faithful Calphalon purchaser for so long. What more needs to be said.
This is the perfect in-between size I was looking for, and much sturdier than the sauce pan it replaced. I look forward to having it for many years.
So far, i really like this pot. It's a little bigger than what it replaced. The flat bottom works on my glasstop stove. It holds up to the dishwasher. The one thing I don't like is the handle. I can't hang it on my homemade pot rack because the hole is too small.
LOVE the pan, but the cover has a little design flaw. The way the cover is designed, water gets caught inside the metal rim around the cover's glass. Water gets trapped in there and is difficult to get out without a bit of shaking. I worry about the trapped water getting stinky or the metal rusting.
I am plenty pleased with the construction of the pan. I was, however, unhappy with the color. I thought it was the same as a set I had just purchased as I wanted it to match. It definitely was not. Not only is the color different but the style was different too.
I was replacing older pans that were much loved. These new ones have different lids with handles that get hot. My old pans had a rubber wrap on handle to keep them cool. I don't like hot handles!
Returned it, the lid leaked, water got in then drained into the food I was cooking. Had to throw it out. Very gross, dirty dishwater leaking into your food
