Calphalon Premier Hard-Anodized Nonstick 8.5-Quart Dutch Oven with Lid

I was making a dish and the cover exploded. It was on the stove for only 10 minutes cooking some pork and the cover made a pop sound, and when I looked back, the cover decintergrated onto the meat. A ruined dinner!!! P.S. all our cookware is from the company!

I finally was able to use my new Dutch oven - it's corned beef and cabbage time. The size was perfect, cleaning afterwards was a dream, but what I liked best is it is not heavy, I had no problem moving it when full (75 year old).I looked at other similar pans but even empty they weighed 15+lbs As with my other Calphelon pots and pans, I know it will last for years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Calphalon Dutch oven came in a neatly packed box. It's 8.5 qt , so it's big. It comes with lid. The lid is glass with stainless steel rim . The handle is also stainless steel , so it will be easy to hold. The Dutch oven is made of hard anodized non stick. I have cooked biryani , curries for party and never had any problem with food sticking. For the size the weight doesn't seem heavy. Color and design looks elegant.The heat spreads evenly and uniformly. The Dutch oven and lid is dish wash safe. I love it and use for small gathering , if I have to cook for my daughters birthday or a small family get together. Great value for money and high quality.

Roasts, whole chickens, multiple cornish hens are all easy. Just prep and pop into the oven. This dutch oven can take the heat, cleans up easily and remains as new. I'm really putting this thing through its paces and it's like I just took it from the packaging. Get this dutch oven! Especially with the winter comfort food season upon us.

We recently made soup in our older Dutch Oven and this new one and it was amazing that nothing stuck to the bottom of it, where the older one did. The pot is just really nice overall and I really like the glass see-through lid. I love cooking with this Dutch Oven. I highly recommend this product!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my Calphalon Premire Dutch oven about two weeks ago. I love it! I needed a pot that had a larger capacity! It claims that you can use metal utensils, oven safe and dishwasher safe! So I put it to the test! I baked chicken with a glaze sauce and stew beef with veggies in the oven there was little to no clean up! Made mac and cheese it with no sticking! As advertised the metal utensils did not harm the finish at all. It is sturdy but lighter weight and is a pleasure to use! Again easy to clean in or out of the dishwasher! You can even cook with no oil on the stove top. I can't wait to try all kinds of other options. It is a wonderful tool and would make a great gift for any occasion! Everyone needs to try this product! The Calphalon Dutch oven Is a guality product from a trusted company!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dutch oven pan seems to distribute heat very evenly on my electric cooktop. Very pleased, and amazingly non-stick and a breeze to clean. This is the most versatile Dutch oven I have purchased. The size is perfect for roasts, stews, soups. Baking in it too. So absolutely awesome, I don't think I could cook without it now!

This is maybe 2qts bigger than my stock pot I think and it's just wonderful at 8.5qts. When I'm cooking a large meal, I always needed my biggest pot and a medium sized to accommodate all the food. This is such a big, sturdy, high quality pot and I don't have to wash as many dishes. Calphalon never disappoints me! I'm glad this big one is now a part of my collection!!! A++++

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this pan for Xmas as a gift. I love the pan but there is a flaw in the rim of the lid so it doesn't function properly. I have no receipt so now I have to go through customer service. Not fun but I will jump through the hoops because it's a nice product otherwise.

Product was shipped without it's original packaging and the metal on the glass lid arrived damaged.
