We have been Calphalon cookware product users for years. In caring for your skillets, pots, etc., Allow your cookware to cool down to room temperature (set on a hot pad) immediately after use. Don't take the product from the stove-top and expose it to a sudden and dramatic temperature change (drop) by running it under water or submering it into dishwater. This traumatizes tthe base metal composition of the product to where the hard-anodized nonstick surface starts to chip off and/or chunks of the base metal break off.
After serious looking around I'm happy with my purchase. The pans are perfectly sized and easy to clean. I like the assortment that I chose. I already have plenty of larger pieces. Perfect nonstick finish.
Perfect every day skillet. From scrambling eggs to searing a pork roast %26 going into the oven. It is oven-safe up to 450. Although I prefer to use non-metal utensils, I have used slotted spoons and spatulas that are metal. The finish is excellent. Anti stick, anti scratch. I have two. I wish there was a lid for the 10”. I have a gas stove. I prefer to do most cooking on low heat and let the skillet heat up evenly. Handle is not hot. I already have bought a Mineral Shield 3 quart pot. Great product.
i bought these 2 pans over a month ago, and have been quite pleased with their even heating and non-stick nature. food slides right out of the pan, easy to flip eggs, etc. we only hand wash the pans, no d/w. i will be interesting to see how they do over the next 6-12 months of usage.
I had to order another one of these pans after getting the 12-inch version. After years of being disappointed with other nonstick pans that don't stay nonstick, it's such a relief to have finally found one that I won't have to throw away in a few months. There are plenty of beautiful ceramic pans that seem like they'd have great lasting nonstick, but in my experience, that always wears out in no time. The surface of these pans isn't slick - it's bumpy, and that's why it works and lasts so well. I also love the high sides on these pans, which makes them good for all sorts of things, not just frying.
i bought these pans over a month ago and have been quite pleased with their performance for even heating and non-stick properties. i was sick and tired of buying other pans that only lasted a short time before they lost their non-stick properties.so far, these have done very well and eggs still slide off and can be flipped without a spatula without ripping and tearing. we will see how they do over the next 6 months.
These pans are made well. If you take care of them, they will last a long time. The non stick does not come off.
The only suggestion I would offer is having a pour spout off the side of all of your pots. They would be perfect.
Great pan but I think the handle is too heavy when using on a glass-top stove as the pan doesn't sit flat when you are are preheating or cooking foods that are lighter in weight. I place an object under the pan handle to prop it up so that it sits completely flat on the stove surface
The 8 inch pan, quite frankly, has been a huge disappointment. Early on I noticed it wouldn't "sit" evenly on our range. Eventually I figured out the reason: the handle had been bolted on in a crooked fashion, with one side an eight of an inch lower (from the top edge of the pan) than the other side. I'm guessing this caused the balance issue. The 10 inch pan is fine and - no surprise - the handle was bolted on parallel to the top of the pan. Still love your brand, but this one was a dud.
