Calphalon Signature Hard-Anodized Nonstick 5-Quart Dutch Oven with Cover

I am mostly using this dutch oven to bake bread and it works great for that purpose. It is a nice heavy weight pan, oven safe up to 500 degrees, cleans up quickly and easily. Because of the way it is made, I read that there is no coating to peel off so I can expect the nonstick properties to last. Very happy with this dutch oven.

I bought this because I have had their fry pan for over a year and use it for all my frying. I love it so much I wanted another Calphalon product when I was looking for a Dutch Oven . It sears well and can go in the oven. You can use metal utensils but I don't. Heavy and well made, I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought a calphalon skillet over 32 years ago, it still looks brand new. I've been using my late mother's n uncles pans n one got really bad, they have to be more than 50 yrs old, n I replaced it w another calphalon- we love it-potatoes brown perfectly on bottom, I make this Iranian dish w rice-the pan is just as good as my others.

Great pan! We used and abused our first one once or twice a week for six years, thought it was time to replace it. However, the old one still performs well, and in general, the scratches we caused in the non-stick surface by occasionally using metal utensils don't create a cooking or cleaning hassle, so we're keeping it in service along with the new one.

Well thought-out design and solidly built, with a superb non-stick lining. The item's wall material thickness is great for heat distribution while still remaining light enough for someone not a weight lifter to move around the cooking area. Would recommend its purchase without hesitation.

Great Dutch Oven, but my palm brush scrubber bristles always get caught and torn off by the gap between the rivet(s) and the inside of the pot. This tells me there is a gap where food and leftover debris can hide. I have not had this problem with other cookware previously.

Excellent POT but the handles of both the pot and the lid get very hot. These are advertised as cool handles but they are NOT.

I like the size, the non stick and easy clean up. Didn't like the fact that after the fourth use there were scratches on the bottom. I don't use metal utensils or high heat. Very disappointing.
