Perfect fit in our Fantastic Fan housing in our RV. Keep heat in during winter and heat out during summer.
I had read some Amazon reviews about this product with the white back and some were saying that the insulators didn't fit right, but mine are perfect. Also saw someone whinging on about them being not good quality because they are so light in weight. Well, if you are essentially shoving a pillow into an aperture and want it to stay there, using only the pressure and friction of placing an object into a same shape opening, then of course it has to be very lightweight. While I can't speak to the performance in the long term, I have to say that I find these insulators even better than I expected. I'm looking forward to summer electric bills that don't look like a house payment, now that I am blocking so much extra sun with these insulators.
I've read reviews saying that these didn't stay in place, but took a chance and bought four of them for my new East to West Della Terra. They've been in place for almost 3 months and they haven't moved a bit since I installed them, including the one in the shower. Taking the advice of friends who are also full time RVers, it was the first thing I bought and installed, so while I can't speak to a difference between electric bills with and without the insulators, I can tell you that my first electric bill arrived, covering part of July and part of August and it was $70. Yup, not a typo, seventy dollars for one of the hottest months in Texas, so yeah, I'm saying they work, since insulation in an RV is a joke. Also nice that they were available with black shearling on the obverse, rather than white. White may blend into its surroundings better, but with interior changes in temperature and humidity, cooking and so forth, the black ones aren't going to look awful pretty soon and I'm sure the white ones would. Super happy with these!
covers our RV hatches perfectly. keeps sun out and cold out.
