We've always bought bought the store branded beans wherever we shop ,but tried these on a whim. These are high quality and a step up above rest. They might cost a bit more, but they are worth it. You pay for what to get.

Cooks down nice and soft. These taste really great if you add in some onions, peppers and smoked meat.. they are really good crop, perfect size and shape and color. Beans are an excellent source of protein..

I bought two packages and I’ve used one. I just put the other pound in a container and the beans to soak overnight. I’m making “BROTHY TOMATO BEAN SOUP.” You soak the beans overnight and the next day add a can of San Marzano Tomatoes that you’ve obliterated with your hand blender. Add rough chopped onion, sprigs of Thyme, salt and pepper, a couple of garlic cloves that you’ve smashed into submission. This part I cannot stress strongly enough: lock your doors and stay away from the windows. At this point add a couple of boxes of chicken stock and pretty soon the aroma wafting through the house is going to draw the neighbors like ducks to Junebugs. You forgot to lock the doors, didn’t you? That’s okay, that’s why you made a DOUBLE batch of soup. When I bought these beans I had a choice of 2-3 brands of Great Northern beans but I chose this one. I’d looked them over because they’re in a clear plastic package and they looked pretty good. Come to find out, when I washed both pounds of beans there were no bad ones, no rocks which I seriously always find in Butter Beans (why?) nothing but gorgeous, lovely, perfect Great Northern Beans. And the soup? Despite having very few ingredients it’s amazingly hearty and delicious. Google the recipe. You won’t be sorry!

All of your beans, legumes are delicious. Their taste and texture are so much better than what I can buy in the grocery store. I don't really have the words to explain it, but your "bowl of beans" is more than just a bowl of beans. It is delicious, comfort food at its finest. And for all you unbelievers, I wasn't paid anything (in beans or money or else-wise) to say this. It's what I truly believe.
