I bought this to sharpen all my pocket knives, then moved into the kitchen. it has a suction cup base that you twist down onto a solid surface like a table, desk, countertop, etc. A few draws of the knife between the two edges, will produce a very crisp, sharp, edge on your knife. I also tried out the scissor sharpener that is built into the opposite side. Works very well. For the price it is very well worth it.

I thought it was a little big but it fits in my kitchen drawer. I had some knives I was going to throw out and now I'm keeping them. I can take a crappy knife and use this sharpener and it smoothly cuts tomatoes. Even my sis in law was amazed who sharp my knives are. This now sits in the front of my knife drawer

The hands-free suction design makes sharpening easy and safe. It's a handy, well made little sharpener. A simple twist locks it down tight. Be mindful of the sharpening blades when attaching it. Also be sure to use it on a smooth surface for long-lasting powerful suction. I tried it on a textured Formica countertop and it came looses after a little while. That is not a product design flaw, it is the nature of how suction cups work. It stays in a kitchen draw and I uses it every time I'm using knives. A couple strokes now and then keeps them razor sharp.

I love the idea of a suction cup base. It stays secure on my counter top. My opposite hand doesn't have to be anywhere near it. I have sharpened two knives and one pair of scissors so far and it sharpened them nicely. Great product!

Great little sharpener. The only real drawback is that you really really have to work at getting the suction cup to hold and have the sharpener in a position to work, ie not being in a postion that you need to left-right instead of pulling towards you. Works best on smaller knives.

The sharpener worked well for my knives ans scissors. Be careful when you try to adhere the unit to your counter. Pressing down on the top puts the sharpener right into your hand so be careful. Also watch out for the suction cup. I had a few times where it lost its grip

It works pretty good for quick sharpening in kitchen , and its small enough to put away in a drawer , fixes to counter well ,

The scissor sharpener does not work. It dulled my scissors and rendered them unusable

Hard to stick on a surface, didn't sharpen good either.
