Unbelievable TASTY and efficient- REAL BROTH worth to keep in the case when need to use beef biulion…
EXCELLENT beef Broth- real taste
Great for making soups with
Use this broth a lot. It is nice to have the concentrate, you can control the flavor. Great that it does not contain maltodextrin
Good works well
clever, convenient, and handy for stews(which I enjoy often)
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Very nice it does its job quite flavourful
I thought this was going to be something like Bovril concentrate but it is more like an au jus with less flavour. I'm my opinion, this is what a typical stock should taste like - not a concentrated one.
All pre-packaged beef broth sucks. At best you get muddy "brown-ness." At worst you get watery nothingness. This is the only beef broth that tastes genuinely beefy. Yes, it's not as concentrated as it says on the box. Yes, if you dillute to a 1L size of box it's watery garbage. But all 1L boxed beef broths are watery garbage to start with, and you have to reduce to make them usable. Add just a cup of water and the flavour is great. ...except for a weird bitterness at the end. Strange that made it out the door. If it wasn't for that bitter bite they'd have the greatest beef broth in history and could charge triple.
This tiny Tetra Pak is supposed to replace the 980 mL ready-to-use beef broth - the package says to add 3 cups of water to create the full 4 cups of the original broth. Unfortunately, this so-called "concentrated" broth only tastes like beef if you try it right from the box. Once you dilute it, it loses ALL flavour and is watery, flavourless, and insipid; virtually unusable. A big disappontment from Campbell's, who are usually the puveyors of excellent products. This one is a bust.
