Ok peepes... her eis the deal, its SOUP. soup, ok.. yes, its going to have salt in it, but it is not overpowering. It could have better chicken flavor, meaning, while it is good and we grew up with it, I do not add a full can of water to my soup before I cook it. That way it has better chicken flavor, I add almost over a 1/2 can of water to all soups from campbells that need it added. Rice.. if you do not boil this soup and just cook it till warmish... the rice is not done. You must not be lazy in this case and get it to a boil for at least 1 minute to cook the rice fully done. We all have had the rice in our soups a bit tough due ot not cooking in correctly, but we lived didn't we? Its a good standby soup to have around the house, I get so sick of chicken noodle, I like the one with rice and the one with stars in it ( even though the stars are sorta noddles they are smaller ) enjoy and keep it in stock.
Since my childhood in the 50's I've been enjoying Campbell's Chicken Rice soup. It's part of my pantry staples and I describe it as delicious. My posterity includes lots of food people with their own personal recipes but when it comes to a good canned soup, Campbell's is what we choose. Thank you Campbell's
Campbell's Condensed Chicken and Rice Soup, 10.5 oz Can My fave soup, especially if I am real sick. It seems to make me feel better faster. It's a bit pricey, though as I can get a larger can for a cheaper price elsewhere, but I rarely go anywhere. I love and miss my mom's homemade chicken and rice soup. It definitely did the trick. But, this is a great substitute for sure. Great with Premium saltines.
I grew up eating Campbell's soup. My daughter inherited my taste for it and is bringing these to college for snacks and quick meals. Campbell's Condensed Chicken and Rice Soup is a tasty sodium bomb that may be highly processed, but still has some nutritional benefits. It's comfort food and perhaps slightly better for you than ramen noodles.
I like chicken noodle soup. The chicken and rice is better. It fills you up and lasts you all night. I used to put saltine crackers in my chicken noodle soup. With chicken and rice it truly fills you up. No crackers are needed.
Cambells soup has been around long before i joined the human race on 2 sep 46. Very tasty, filling and priced to stock up. i highly recommend this product. Crumble a few unsalted crackers in for a boost.
Ive been pleased to note that the rice is no longer hard; but then I've been heating a full can's worth of rice in one pot for 2 minutes on the microwave. The flavor is great and the rice is more tender so I'm happy. I'm not happy that the price is almost twice that of chicken noodle!!
I love the taste of this but there is not much if any chicken in it. i always add my own shredded chicken to it. there is plenty of rice and chicken soup but a minuscule amount of little tiny square chicken pieces.
After receiving my shipment, all the cans were bent or damaged. I did not get a partial refund or anything on the items and do not understand why this took place. The soup was still good. It's just the principal of paying so much nowadays for cancer soup and then getting it damaged in your shipment.
I ordered Campbell chicken and rice soup as part of my order, when they arrived, the boxed they were shipped look good, no crushed areas, the box looked perfect. When I removed the cans of chicken and rice soup, every can was dented, not a small dent, but a significant dent ('s). So now I know how Walmart gets rid of the dented cans on their shelves, since anyone in the store won't buy them, there are shipped out to customers knowing its to much trouble to bring them back, and it will negate your personal time you were trying to save. Don't buy groceries that are shipped from Walmart.
