First time user. Wow! I felt the outbreak on my lip and started taking acyclovir 5x's a day for 10 days. NEVER has it dried up in 2 days. It takes weeks to clear after they have erupted with burning pain and scabs peeling and cracking. This Campho Phenique immediately stopped the itch, tingling and swelling! I used as prescribed 3 x's a day. Relief came not just physically, but emotionally. I ususally hide for ten days or more to heal. This spread quickly across my top lip to form 5 or 6 blisters. The medication reduced the swelling and stopped it from spreading further, drying them out in a few days. No sticking to my pillowcase at night either. I'm grateful for this product after 53 years of experiencing herpes simplex after chicken pox. Thank-you so much!

I love the relief it gives me. It tastes yucky but, it's definitely the best way to get my mouth sore under control. It's a great way to make sure my mouth sore isn't infected. I get bone spurs under my dentures and this is definitely the best way to deal with the problem. Thank you...

I have used the original campho phenique in the bottle for many years! .. It was my Grandma's go to when we got scratches or cuts. .. It works so great that I decided to try the tube for cold sores and it is a great product also!!! .. Quick relief for the burning and irritation in the corner of my lips😁. Healed quick! .. The campho phenique in gel form and in a tube is much easier to apply. .. My 6yr old had a scrape on his knee and other brand meds that I was using were not helping it heal, so I tried this one .. Wow! Worked awesome! .. Really great product and is worth trying. .. Do want to note there is a slight medicine taste for a second or two but it isn't bad and goes away quick.

I have been using this product for years. I am happy with the results . As soon as I feel a cold sore coming pop some of this on there and it goes away so much faster. I also have used it on an itchy bug bite ( i didnt know it would work but def did the trick )

The moment I feel a tingle or see the first sign of a blister, I apply a small amount—and the relief is almost immediate. As soon as I feel the tingle or itch of a cold sore I put this on and if it doesn't stop it right away it gets rid of it pretty fast. Like 1-2 days and it's gone. But if I catch it early this gets rid of it before it's even noticeable. I do apply it more often than it says to but oh well, I just do what works for me. Better than going to work with a huge annoying cold sore.

Campho never lets me down. Easy to spread on fever blisters. Reduce the size after one use and within 3 days it was gone. Dulled the appearance in no time and I didn't have to swallow any pills.

My mom recommended this for my cold sore. Had readied in about a day or two. Not the cure for cold sores but was a nice relief. May be pricey for some on a tight budget however if in need of relief. I recommend putting aside the $10 to get this.

Unfortunately, I can't review this item based off of if it actually works or not because I could not get past the smell! Mind you, I'm not a person who's sensitive to smell. It's a strong chemical like smell that lingers on the lips even way after. I was hoping this was going to be a cheaper alternative to Abreva, but I'd say in this case, I'd just stick with Abreva.
