Mice seem to prefer these to snap traps. Just throw the trap in a bucket of water and it sinks easily. The end of the trap for bait storage is really a nice feature. Very easy to use.
I put peanut butter in this, hid it behind the microwave where I had seen evidence of a mouse. I caught it that night, then released her alive and well the next morning.
Simply...they were all perfect...
They're better than the smaller clear plastic ones because it's harder for the cute little mouse to see into my soul. Seriously though, the smaller ones I bought from Victor - the mice kept breaking the spring and they weren't as easy to clean the poop and pee out to reuse. The mice are getting smarter, people. They're starting to figure out the mechanics behind these traps. If we don't get ahead of this, we are doomed.
Read description carefully…this is for SMALL mice, and if the critter gets in the long tail is holding the door open for them to escape.
I feel like I wasted my money on this one the door that pops open for the mouse to go through is too heavy for the mouse to push open and even when it does open it stays open it sticks and it stays open the side that you put the bait in you pull it up and put the bait in in this slide it back down then when you catch the mouse you take it somewhere else and release it the issue is the door that you put the bait in and release the mouse from absolutely will not open I have tried everything within my power to get it open and it does not open easily do not waste your money it isn't worth it
I am sorry but these traps take about 1/2 pound to spring them. Mice were running in and eating the bate and running back out. We only caught mice once because there were 2 in there. 2 of the traps broke after being used 3 times at the hinges. they really need to recalibrate or something. I had to return.
The trigger is too stiff. A mouse does not have enough weight to trigger this. I have never caught a mouse in one of these while I have caught dozens in the equivalent Harris branded trap that this seems to be a copy of.
The trap works fine, but I expected them to be reusable. The first one, the spring broke after the mouse was released, rendering the trap unusable. The second one also could not be reset after a single use. Not worth the money.
Not easy to use. Finally got it set up. Mouse ate the bate but didn't trap the mouse. Tried it a couple times. No change. Just feeding the mouse.
