Canary All-in-One Home Security Device - Black

Very very nice. The night shots are a little difficult to make out if was hoping for a little better image but I can see who is in the room when the tv is on. During the day it is nearly as good as watching your best HD tv. Connected from any where is no problem with your phone. This would be my choice hands down.

We purchased one Canary for our kitchen, and find that it works well. Figuring out the program took a bit, but nothing that we couldn't do. The Canary automatically moves from Home and Away modes so that makes it very convenient. I would recommend this product to another person due to its performance and price. Now that we've had the first Canary for a while, we'll add a second one in our basement.

So easy to set up! Love watching over the house when away. It even picked up a bug flying in view of it. The view is wide and covers my whole great room and dining room, where both outside doors are located. It looks sleek and blends with other electronics in our great room. The night vision is mazing, too! Love this security camera and hope to add more soon to other rooms or outside.

My girlfriend and I have toyed with the idea of a full-blown security system, but it's super costly, especially the ongoing monthly fees. We bought this as an alternative/ interim solution until we own a home, but I think this might be better than one of those professionally installed solutions! The Canary arms automatically when we leave, and it lets us know if any motion is detected. At the moment, that motion sensing is relatively sensitive (it even picks up sunlight!), but I kind of like that I get to check in on my home, and for the most part, I can just "set and forget", and rely on the Canary to send me a notification on my phone if I ever actually need to check in. Over time, the Canary will learn to understand false alarms better, so then that even takes out that step for me. So - super easy, does everything we were looking for in an alarm system, and I don't have to worry about anything anymore - not about anyone breaking in into our home, but not even about setting the alarm when I leave! Highly recommended.

My Canary has been great so far. It's been really helpful to be able to have live video of what's happening inside my apartment while I'm at work or traveling, especially since I have a number of maintenance issues and have workers coming in and out of my apartment frequently when I'm not home. Pros: - The design is small, sleek and modern and blends in next to my router. Unless I pointed it out most people wouldn't realize what it is. - Like I said, the live video has been great for keeping tabs on the people working on my apartment. - Setup was simple and only took a few minutes. - I have joint access to the account with my girlfriend and we both have the ability to check on what is happening in the apartment. - The camera's resolution is a much higher quality than I expected, and the night vision is very clear as well. Cons: - The device seems like it's still struggling to recognize my girlfriend and I, and I often get a notification when I come home or leave. - If a truck or car causes a reflection to travel across our apartment when there isn't a lot of light in the living room, like in the morning or evening, it sometimes sets off the device and sends us an alert.

Worked great in the first 7 days when the trial ran out. The company false advertised their product. They said no contract but when you set it up the app associated with the Canary is for only 7 days. After the trial the camera stopped catching instant recordable views, lengthy time lapses meaning I got a notification sent to my phone 20 minutes after a member of the household left the recordable area. Also after the trial you can only view the current recorded videos and next day they are gone. If you want all the downloads and instant access with no delays, you have to purchase a membership, weekly, monthly or yearly. $300 for a year of access after you just spent $200 on the Canary. Pros...great picture clarity, night mode and day mode.

This was our third camera we added to out house. The system works fine except for the "auto switch mode". This has become totally unreliable even after 20+ emails with tech support. Still recommend for it's intended purpose but for the auto switch [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I must admit that the concept of this product is what attracted me to it but once purchased it proved to be very disappointing. It took me a full week of daily conversations with the Canary helpdesk people to get the thing going. Even though they were very nice about it (I'm guessing they are used to dealing with frustrated clients), the fact that they rely on you and your computer savyness (or not) to figure out what the problem is was annoying. They tout the product as plug it in and connect, in my case this was definitely not the case!!!

I purchased a brand new camera and it was delivered on 5/28/2026. It was stuck in the update process and found out it was manufactured in 2017! What the heck? Canary customer service is via text message. Very frustrated.

This securty camera has great features and the video quality is pretty great as well. Where this product falls way short is the constant software issues. The app that is used with the divice horrible. I myself need a device that will produce as advertised. I monitor my home with several cameras made by different companies. The Canary is the only one I have constant issues with. Maybe look elsewhere because until they resolve the software issues this camera is not worth the money
