This may benefit only a few people, but I purchased it for the purpose of bookbinding and it serves me well. It doesn't do automatic two side printing but that's easily worked around. Would definitely recommend.
For a small, inexpensive photo printer the Pixma G620 does far better then I had expected. Add the tanks rather than cartridges and it is a fine little machine. The biggest negative is its limited paper size, just know that going in.
Absolutely worth every penny. I own two Epson printers one ink tank and the other cartridges. The ink tank was the standard magenta yellow and cyan model. The cartridge is the 7 color model. This Canon produces better colors than both of them. True gray background reproduction of my studio shots is the most important to me as I print proofs for my clients to purchase from. This canon is perfect every time. I also want to point out that canon let's you purchase a maintenance cartridge so your printer doesn't become a door stop. Great job Canon!
It prints quickly and its colors are vivid. I really liked it.
yhis works perfect no issues exactly whats needed to get the job done right
I print 100s of photo transparencies. I need a photo printer with at least 5 separate ink colors. Canon fits the bill. But the MegaTank means I rarely stop printing to change a cartridge. And I can monitor ink levels. The MegaTank also has a changeable maintenance cartridge so I figured the printer would have a longer life. That turns out not to be true. I'm on my third MegaTank as there seems to be an ink flow problem which is only temporarily fixed by installing a new print head. I sure hope Canon fixes this flaw. Canon support staff are wonderful and knowledgeable.
This item is OK, great specs, but poorly designed and functional flaw. Most people have to place this device in an alcove of other location that makes access to a “Rear Paper Tray” difficult or impossible w/o moving the printer. This is not good for the longevity of the printer or its alignment of the printer head. This is just plain impractical and stupid design IMHO. Also, the scanner function is “slaved” to the print function. If for any reason the printer has an error (head alignment, low ink, malfunction, etc.) the scanner does not work! I understand you need a scanner to print from an original… BUT, many times I just want to scan a doc and digitally save. Because of this “slaved” logic (illogic) coding, I cannot use this fine scanner with all its high specs if the printer doesn't work!!! …when I do not need to print! This too is not a good logical feature and just plain stupid design. If it were not for its good specs and excellent photo printing I would have given it a 1-. This “plain Jane” all-in-one lacks good design and practical functionality in many areas. The concept and specs deserve better. Beware before you buy.
I'm very disappointed with the photo quality. My photos are not coming out the same as how they show on my desktop files. This is the third Pixma I've owned. My first two were one fourth the price and the photos printed out great. Again, I'm disappointed with the quality of my photos
The colours are very faded, not as crisp as I would have expected. I would not recommend this for someone looking to frame or scrapbook the photos
The printer may be fine but Walmart is almost $100 more than other stores online and box arrived damaged so I will be returning
