My granddaughter wanted a vlogging camera for Christmas. Nice small camera , love the video quality and the stand make it simple for her to use.
Exactly what I needed. Moving away from smart phones and this is the perfect daily companion. Easy to use and light weight. Shipping was extremely quick.
Amazing camera, no issues with the product, it looks new
Love this camera!
It was to come December 30th but came before Christmas so I was very happy. The camera is off great quality. Very nice
I love it so much. Able to record smoothly and take pictures. Not able to zoom in but always can be edited without ruining the quality
I absolutely love my camera. I'm really comfortable with recording I'm public because it looks like my phone.
This camera is great for a starter user like me. It's easy to use and all the functions are basically laid out for you. It would be great if I could connect to both my phone and the control on my tripod grip. Also if there could be more filters for the cameras, not just the basic ones.
very similar controls like Canon has on the cameras, very versatile for quick short cameos, great quality video and can edit on imovie etc... like other comments, I wish the battery lasted longer and charged faster.... the small chip can come out if the plastic cover is not snug and locked down..
I really didn't want to hate this camera. I love the idea of a camera designed for vlogging. There is something about Cannon, where they somehow lose out on specs or even raw ability, but are able to harness streamlined workflow to a level that is hard to describe for those that don't use them. As streamlined of a vlogging camera as the G7Xiii is, it still requires a mic and a tripod. Not a lot of set up to get a very professional look with very little editing, but then they go and add both of those things in camera, make controls easier to access to the user, and supply it with a decent sized sensor. The real issue here is the lens. It is slow and soft and doesn't zoom. i realize this was created as kind of a cheapish novelty item to see if the idea took off, but if you had put the same lens as the G7Xiii on this body, I think this camera would be seen a lot differently. As it is, I can't really recommend this to anyone, because it doesn't really matter that you can deal with tripod issues by adjusting the angle or maybe adding a book or the like if the quality of the image, even in good lighting, isn't going to be sharp or pleasing, and awful in low light and not the most versitle of lenses. I don't see why you would want to use this for still as video is generally more forgiving of lens issues, not to mention handling isn't comfortable, though I guess possible in a pinch. The only real upside is that the price seems to keep dropping on this and as a one stop shop it might not be the worst as a my first youtuber camera, but the image quality is just too lacking to really recommend.
