CAP Barbell - Olympic Bumper Plate Set, 20-90 Lbs.

These are great plates for someone who is just getting into lifting and wants a cheap set of bumper plates. I will mention that the inserts are now steel as mentioned in the product description. The picture(as of this posting) still shows the brass inserts.

Great for a home gym set doing Crossfit. Great value. Quality product by Cap. Recomend anyone starting their own garage gym to get a set of these and a 25 lbs set.

Nice low bounce bumper plates. Smooth finish with very few mold marks. Weight is within a half ounce of other weights I own. At the time I couldn't find bumper plates of this weight cheaper anywhere else in any brand.

Perfect for home or commercial use... plates holding up quite well due to some heavy punishment...ready to order two more sets.

These plates are very much worth the funds asked. I measured them on a calibrated scale and they both weighted within a couple OZ of 45#. I assume that your plates may differ. Note: they are rather stinky when they arrive (smell strongly of rubber). However the smell is greatly reduced by spraying the plates with a cleaner like Simple Green. Spray both sides and allow to stand for 10 minutes, wash off the cleaner, dry your plates, put them on the bar, and get under it. I'd say enjoy but that really isn't applicable in this case. So just embrace the weight.

I am getting into Olympic lifting and am starting to build up my bumper plate reserves so I bought this pair. I buy new and used weights all the time and the first thing I look at is the cost per pound. Additionally with bumpers you have research the bounce. I have a small space so I can't afford to have an uncontrolled bounce of the barbell. These work. They also comfortably fit my two Olympic bars of different manufacturers. I'm very satisfied and will purchase more CAP Bumpers.

Be careful buying bumpers with brass inserts. They will bend and fall out over time. I originally purchased a set of CAP bumpers and had to replace them with Lynx Barbell brand bumpers. These CAP brand bumpers will probably be ok for someone who doesn't drop them from overhead. If you plan on doing Oly lifts (clean and Jerk, Snatch) then get the Lynx Barbell brand or TROY.
