Assembly was straightforward with no problems encountered. This is a well made sturdy hyperextension platform for your lower back and abdominals. Very pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it to others. The price was incredibly affordable especially for the quality of the product
Well built. Does what it's supposed to do. Came packaged well. Easy to assemble. Great value. Seems very stable. I've had it for a few months and it's holding up well
Dont believe the negative reviews. This thing is dam near as solid as any gym roman chair Ive ever used.. Im 215 lbs. and have had zero issues. I think some of these people are not tightening down the bolts enough. I read one review where they said the bolts weren't long enough. The bolt packet that comes with the machine is correct and perfect. There are 2 bolts that attach to the rear leg base that are a little shorter than the others by design. Follow the directions and the letter assignments to the fasteners. The hand rails are not floppy. They hold me just fine when put together properly. The hip pads have not broken nor do they feel like they are going to break. I bought this on sale for around $80 and couldnt be happier. You can make this thing extremely solid by making one modification. Drill a hole through the upper horizontal support after you set your desired length. Run a bolt through that and tighten it and that thing won't move. It's not necessary, but if a tiny bit of wobble concerns you, that will solve your issue. Hope this helps someone.
I have to say this Roman Chair is worth the price and it works ! I went to a company who sells all kinds of workout machines and I found the same Roman Chair for sale there. The only big difference was the price , The company wanted to sell it to me for about 300.00 and I decided to check out walmart.com and found the same Roman Chair for 96.86 . Now , that is a bargain!
There are two main types of back extention rigs you can use: horizontal or 45 degree. This one is horizontal is better and more versatile. You can hit different body parts depending on your form and horizontal makes that easier. Also, I normally prefer heavier equipment because its stronger but in this case the light weight is actually an advantage. You can sperate it into two pieces and hang it on the wall or in the rafters and its not too heavy.
Similar to the old gym style. That's the main reason I purchased it and the price had been lowered. It's somewhat sturdy standing without being bolted to the floor which is how I've been using it so far but it has holes on the base legs to allow for floor mounting. I have various pieces of ab devises but this one gives that extra movement needed to hit those areas I didn't feel with the other equipment. To me it's that needed change up with good results at a decent price.
If you, like me, are trying to get your lower back in order, this is one fantastic buy for the price! It works as intended, is not hard to assemble with clear instructions on how to do it, and the machine feels sturdy. I never had any fear when getting on, except for the footrest that I've never got completely locked in place; it always wobbles (but it's secure) due to having only one screw locking the bar, which was quite a design flaw in my opinion. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone. Personally, I decided to return it because I find that the 45-degree angle Roman chair works best for me.
good basic roman chair function. major flaw in foot/ankle roller design. I replaced bottom rollers with thicker bigger size rollers. if you are doing many hundreds of sit-ups, you can get blisters from ankle places front/back. bigger roller replacement and adjusting foot piece, fixes that.
The base has sharp protrusions on it. They should've been rubber coated end caps instead. I fell on them and cut myself up. Having two seat cushions makes it painful to to the exercises. I think they were aiming to ease something for men, but, it ends up being more painful than helpful. Thought I could find something to fill that gap, but I have not been able to. No instructions on how adjustment should be and the first time I had the front and back too far apart and I didn't secure my feet in properly as I placed myself on it and ended up falling forward and cutting my forehead on the metal base. Not the seller's fault. The manufacturer.
this bench is made to be screwed to a board or to the floor. it is a good bench if it can be secured to the floor, otherwise it is much too unstable.
