Cape Cod 36" x 11" x 11" Rectangle Black Self-Watering Plastic Window Box Planter

I bought three of these beautiful Cape Cod window-boxes to replace my 11 year old cedar boxes that were rotting. After researching choices, I found the Cape Cod boxes, which satisfied every must have feature I needed. They are "good looking", "no painting/maintenance", "self-watering!!!", "deep" and "easy to install." The first two boxes we installed were easy. Took just a few minutes each and 8 screws per box. The third box was tilted towards the house because of our wood shingle siding. The metal brackets that come with window-boxes makes for a tight and very secure install..... we could not figure out how to remove that last box so we could place shims behind to level it. We emailed the manufacturer directly, and they provided a solution. So not only is this a good product that Jet.com sells, but the manufacturer is great to work with as well. Perfect size for the front porch. It's a bonus that it will be self watering. We'll see! I didn't hang it, it's just sitting on the concrete, but better than cheap ones elsewhere.

Arrived on time (in 2 days!). Looks nice and sturdy, durable, and of good quality. The hanging brackets look very strong. I like the design!

Installation easy for carpenter/handyman. Might be a little challenging for novice. It does need support for installation on the home. Once it was up, I planted immediately. I did take the vendor suggestion and added light weight material in the bottom. It has added an instant update and wonderful curb appeal to my home. In the winter, I plan to use the planter for holiday decoration. I am delighted with my purchase.

I was looking for a nice replacement for old planter boxes I have along the perimeter of my patio. These are beautiful planters and they can also be hung as window boxes. They are very sturdy and are the perfect addition to my backyard patio. Ordering was easy and the two planters I ordered were delivered in a timely manner with no issues.

The Mayne brand planters are really nice and sturdy. We had ordered two matching planters to place by the front door along with the window box planter I am reviewing. My husband hung the planter easily with the good instructions and included hardware. We are especially enjoying the self watering feature. It's wonderful! Saves a lot of time. #sweepstakes

THE WINDOW BOXES ARE BEAUTIFUL. THE BLACK FINISH IS NOT TOO DARK AND IS PERFECT WITH WITH THE SATIN FINISH ON MY DOOR. BEST OF ALL,THE BOXES ARE VERY STURDY--NO SAGGING AFTER BEING FILLED. THE SELF WATERING SYSTEM IS A ""SMART "" DEVICE, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO NOT HAVING TO WATER EVERY DAY IN THE HEAT OF OUR NORTH CAROLINA SUMMERS!

The front panel bows in and has done so after putting it up. It looks nice with a previously purchased flower box. e

I ordered 36"" and 48"" boxes to replace the old copper flower containers for our second story windows. It is a nice complement to my front house and the best part is the water reservoir system. With the old copper planters I had to water daily.

I bought this specifically because of the reviews. It arrived on time which was great, I opened the box a week later and am very disappointed. This one shouldn't have passed quality control. The seems on the plastic looked melted and the black plastic along the face of the box looks dull and discolored. Very poorly made and for the cost , this is very very poorly made.
