I've never had a dash cam before but this one is definitely great for the price! You can see everything clear both during the day and night. Its also a dual so you can see inside the vehicle. Just a heads up though, it doesn't come with the SD card, so you have to buy that separately.
I spent over $300 for my first car camera and replaced with this one which allows me to download pictures and videos without having to remove from car.
Very happy with all the features!
Loved the product after I received my second one that i had to order. the first one came in and was opened/used and missing parts……The sad part is Walmart refuses to give me the credit on my account after returning the first one…I have all documentation and proof of return. Walmart is going downhill fast unfortunately!
I got this camera because I have their previous version and liked it. The things that I like most about it, is that it can put a time stamp, gps stamp, and speed stamp on the footage. I also like that the camera has a format reminder for the memory card that way I keep up with making sure I have a working memory card in the camera. Image is sharp. When waiting for traffic lights, the license plate number of the vehicle in front can be seen. I like its wifi and app. You can view videos without remove the camera down. The camera did come with a suction cup and adhesive sticker so you can decide how you like to attach it to the windshield. So far the suction cup has held up in the Arizona heat but I haven't tried the adhesive. Lastly I like that the camera is attached to the suction cup with a quick release bracket. That way I can take it off when I want to use a windshield sun shade. I would definitely recommend this camera.
This dual dash cam COOAU D30S is a great buy for someone who is looking for all round performance. It has excellent and useful options including WDR. Great safety features that are easily used while driving or after parking. Installation was super easy and also came with a detailed manual for operation. Dash Cam records both front and rear which is very useful in case of an emergency. The camera angles are quite wide and record everything in front and inside. It has WiFi to allow you to connect through your phone. It comes with a free 64 GB memory card for recording and has a loop recording, which will be overwritten once the memory gets full. This dash cam is what I need most. A collision was captured one night last week. That's not my fault! Thinking that it can connect to wifi, I did not take off the camera, just directly found its record through my mobile app. Video quality is good and smooth enough to prove that it's not my fault. Although it was at night, the picture clearly captured the collision at that time. Besides, I found this recording very quickly. Although it can loop recording, it locks the record of my collision at that time and didn't be overwritten. It is very useful in case of an emergency. Great night vision with excellent picture quality, if you are looking for an all rounder dual dashcam, your search comes to an end as this is the item you should go for.
Satisfied with this dash cam. The camera quality is clear, good resolution. Setting up is easy with clear instructions. The cable is long so can place the cam even to the far corner side (which is a big deal for me). Also good that the lens can be turned around to show different angles/sides we want. The option to switch to full screen of either front cam or back (inside car) cam is useful too. Just wish that it comes with a memory card, had to buy the card separately which is inconvenient.
I bought it because of the reviews. It's easy to setup and download the app. It just takes forever for it to connect to the app once you're in the car and about to drive off. I have to open the app and click on the connect feature multiple times before it actually connects and records. I will be sending this unit back.
The camera is great, it sucks well to the window, it records after bumps into the car, and it has a very wide angle lens. I can see why it's reduced in price however. The app used to download your videos in the event of a crash is... buggy. It crashes on me during every viewing and you have to reconnect every time. Sometimes, the camera won't turn on until I am many minutes into my drive and then I hear it's chime, but that's okay. and laslty, I just needed an extra 2-3 foot on that micro-USB cable to hide the entire power wire.
Although I am completely satisfied with the video quality several problems with the unit itself left me with no option but a single star review. I noted on several sites reviews claimed an sd card reformatting was required every 30 days. I also read in the manufacturer's description it has loop recording to automatically overwrite old files if the sd card is full. What I didn't realize is if you hit that 30 days the unit simply stops recording. The red record light does not come on and the very small screen simply states "reformatting required". This happens regardless of the space left on the SD card and if you miss it you also miss out on the protection of video footage. On a more important note my unit will not maintain time and date info between uses. I don't drive everyday but at least a couple times a week. The unit is supposed to have a capacitor to maintain this information but every time I have pulled the SD card and reviewed footage it has reverted to showing 01/01/2019. This happens each session so finding a specific set of footage on the card can be very difficult. Even if I did, I am not sure it would help. Without a correct time and date stamp the footage, at a minimum, could be questioned. So you have to inspect the unit closely at the beginning of each drive to ensure it's recording and that the date/time/etc is correct. Spending five minutes in the passenger seat each drive just to make sure this thing offers some manner of protection is a no go for me. Remember, at least for me this happens every time you start the car. Multiple stops mean multiple checks and correcting the data. I will always have a dash cam but consider this purchase a failed experience. Only thing this unit has going for it is price and now I get it.
