not sure why some of the reviews are bad but we bought this to take a trip down to Destin, Florida %26 back from Syracuse, New York. It rained from the time we left all the way to St. Louis. Nothing inside got wet at all. The volume of stuff it would hold was perfect. The straps held it perfectly in place. There was no shifting due to going 80 miles an hour down the road , very easy to use. There was a bit tough getting it packed back into it bag when we got home. Overall, extremely happy with it . Highly recommend this.

This cargo carrier worked great, however the pic displays more of a hard shell and this is basically a very heavy made bag which held up very well. Not sure how well it would do if it wasn't completely full though since the bag would be loose and I would imagine to be a bit floppy if not full, luckily we had it full and it did the job very well for us.

It worked great for its intended use during the drive from Florida to Massachusetts. It kept my items clean and dry. I think it's important to note that you need to secure the straps so they don't drive you crazy while you're driving and also by fluttering around it'll start to come apart. Also be aware and pack the larger things and serve your items in the front as a shield for the rest of the things you stack up behind it.

Easy to install. Held my tent, a large suitcase, a large duffel, a smaller suitcase (about the size of a train case), and a gravity lawn chair. Drove 700 miles and the last hour was through intense thunderstorms and a tornado warning while the rain was literally blowing up. No tears and everything was dry inside. I love this purchase

I bought this for my drive back to Illinois from Seattle, Wa. It was one of the best purchases I have made for traveling! It rained several days on my drive, and not one item was damp or wet from the rain. Also, there was no ripping of the zipper or materials. I would definitely recommend for any traveling needs.

For the price and usability. Cant go wrong. Will Handle downpour rains. Only issue was we used the long straps (you use those if you dont have side rails or a rack on your roof) to secure through the car as an extra precaution and when it did rain constantly, the straps soaked up the water and was leaking inside the car. Removing them solved the issue

Excellent cargo carrier! Traveled from Washington D.C to Ventura, California. It remained in great condition after traveling through intense wind, rain showers and 75 miles per hour. It's not heavy and has lots of room for your extra belongings.

More than large enough to carry 7 people clothes for a few days and a few more accessories. Super helpful when storage inside the car is low. I can see this coming in handy many times! Seems very sturdy regardless of weather, but we only saw sunshine with it!
