I absolutely love our braiser, it’s beautiful and truly heavy-duty. That said, I underestimated the size when ordering, so it was a bit smaller than I expected (totally my oversight). Even so, it doesn’t take away from how versatile and well-made this pot is.

I’ll just be completely honest, I’ve never had a piece of equipment as nice as this Braiser, especially for the cost. You’re not going to find sturdy bottomed cast iron equipment with such a beautiful coating and finish like this. Has the look to decoratively sit out, and produces results with the best that cast iron has to offer - it’s both a piece of heavy duty equipment and a centerpiece, what more could you truly ask? Because of the coating and care, it’s remarkably easy to clean unlike most cast iron, and if taken care of properly, will absolutely last the rest of your life. My experience with this Braiser has made me a lifelong fan of this company and what they do. I sincerely promise you will not be disappointed.

Just used it to sear and then braise short ribs and was very pleased! The clean-up is fairly easy as well - soak with hot water and soap about 10 minutes, then scrub lightly with sponge and all residue was removed. Love that I can cook acidic foods in the cast iron. Thank you Caraway for creating non-toxic, functional and aesthetically pleasing cookware!

I’m so happy I went with the Midnight Blue color. They look Matt in the pictures online, but they are definitely a glossier finish. They are the nicest set of cast-iron pans I’ve ever owned for sure.

This was a great purchase. I love the functionality of it. It’s deep enough to add sauces to the meats or for a small stew. It cooks evenly and the surface remains even across the entire bottom of the pan which helps with the heat distribution. I will say this is my best purchase for cookware I have made in years.

I have only used this pan once so I can’t attest to the durability of it. I made pasta with cheese in it. The cheese did stick to the pan, but after some soaking with warm water and Dawn, it cleaned right up. My only complaint would be since I have a glass top stove, I have to be very careful since the bottom of the pan is very rough. I wish it could be more smooth like regular cast-iron. Otherwise, I think it’s a great saute pan.
